I’m in Philly. The late 80’s-90’s Bulls are the only non-Philly team that I would watch even if one of my Philly teams were playing. MJ had no peers. Dude was one of a kind. Simply the best.

rxtsec1 I like now much more than b4 that KD went to GSW. And by me stating that you wouldn't even understand why and no.. I am not a fan of KD, I am a fan of the game and when you can't keep your players because you cannot pay them.. but yet you can move around as freely as you want these days.. then how can you not like what KD decided for himself, his career and his bball acumen vs what Lebron did to just win a chip his way. Which is why he didn't win his first year there.. he was so mentally fragile when he can't control things. KD I am beginning to realize he doesn't want to be the main guy although his talent and skill level will place him as that guy. If you dont have a coach to offset the meat headed egos on the team, and implement a high IQ team offense & defense as you see today with GSW, Boston, Spurs, previously Dallas, and up and coming Utah.. then lebron can beat any of those teams and others and KD could play with any of those teams and NOT change their team flow and spirit. And believe this or not.. because this is why I love the move more.. '17 GSW is just a higher acumen and Bball IQ than '13 OKC.

This is why the Bulls were a dynasty in the 90’s. They stuck together and grew as a team. Growing up in Chicago watching the pain the teams went through and what the fans went through as well only made the first championship that much better. I was 17 years old in ‘91 and I’ll never forget that year. Young kids who never watched MJ play in those early years have no idea what they’re talking about when they say MJ had a stacked team back in the day and that’s why he was great. Please. Having to go through teams like Boston, Milwaukee and Detroit each year were some of the toughest the Bulls had to go through. It was ALMOST like winning a championship when they finally swept the Bad Boys, who had given the Bulls the most problems...especially MJ who would literally get beat up whenever they played against them. It felt so good to finally get passed those guys. The rest is history. I’ll always love those guys because they helped put Chicago on the map after years and years of losing seasons. MJ was and always will be the GOAT.

Obviously didnt work put for him, and later in his career he did team up with hakeem, and drexler in houston, but all three were more or less at the end of their careers. I will NEVER forget Jordan's baseline dunk on the Knicks at 15:58 min. He splits the double team in an INCREDIBLE move of deception, THEN dunks on Patrick Ewing. The fake was so subtle and then explosive that Starks and Oakley are still moving in the OPPOSITE direction of MJ as he goes back baseline toward the basket before dunking on the Knicks biggest player. It's THE greatest move I ever saw.

The knew and could do some things but were still clearly in the early stages. 1988: Bulls were a middle school child. They knew and could do more than ever before but clearly still had a way to go. 1989: Bulls were a high schooler. By this time they knew and could a lot but stilt had some growing pains to go through. 1990: Bulls were a college student: They were almost there, but still had to mature a bit before they could be an adult. 1991: Bulls are an adult. Man this is the pure reason why Micheal Jordan is THE GREATEST of all time in my personal opinion. Michael never lost hope when it came to the pistons he never fold or gave up period he kept coming stronger and better year after year not only just MJ his teammates as well they grew together as team became better all because the leadership of Michael Jordan he is a real pure leader, it kills me how people compare Lebron James to MJ because in reality my personal opinion Lebron wouldn’t last a second in the NBA in the 90s straight up as much as he complains to the refs now he would’ve been a bigger baby back in the 90s he most definitely wouldn’t last playing against the Pistons in the 80s & early 90s he most definitely wouldn’t last playing against the Knicks in the 90s as well that’s my honest opinion. the bulls weren't loaded. cartwright was not a great center, very slow and no vision. hodges was a great three point shooter, but they needed him to replace Paxton. Pippen was a great #2 because of his size and could run the court with Jordan. Horace Grant wasn't great but became a great rebounder, eventually replaced by Rodman. Each player had to up their game to compliment Jordan...

This video shows what the NBA use to be like. Franchise players didn’t jump from team to team year after year. They stuck around until the owners filled the holes that they were lacking. The NBA isn’t like that anymore. Aside from it being softer, now franchise players join one team and that’s how they win ‘ships. I grew up in Chicago during the greatest era in basketball. I went through the heartbreak with the Bulls. MJ was and still is the greatest of all time. To be able to watch him day in and day out was like a dream. He encouraged you to play defense out on the court on top of trying to mimic his many offensive moves. When they started to beat the Bad Boys in that ‘91 series was almost like witnessing a championship on its own. Couldn’t stand Detroit Pistons and it was so aggravating to see those guys kick the Bulls asses every time. It was a great feeling to get passed those guys by sweeping them.

This Lakers team only lost 3 games the entire playoffs coming into this series too. They swept the Rockets in the first series. Then beat Golden state 4-1 and Portland 4-2 in the western finals. Beating them 4-1 shows just how good this Bulls squad really was.

Had what advantage Worthy was hurt. Kareem been retired this was one of the weakest Laker teams that Magic ever been on. Pippen had a great season, 1991 was probably Jordan best year ever. Not stat wise.

I jumped on the bulls bandwagon when Horace and Scottie came to Chicago and Michael started accepting team basketball with much better players this team was special and I was 20 at the time it was all uphill then.

I remembered the Pistons looking old and beat up that year. I knew this time as much of a Bad Boy Pistons fan that I am that we would be no match for Jordan and company this time around we had a good run. But they were the better team and it was Jordans time. I appreciate my Pistons team that beat Jordan and made him into the winner that he is today .

I was 13 years old in 1991, and a Chicago fan in ALL sports. My Mom bought us a 48 inch screen TV in May specifically so I could enjoy watching the Bulls in the playoffs. Little did she know what would transpire over the next 8 years😯👍😉
