Hot, humid weather. Short people with shitty accents. Disgusting manners. People walking into MRT stations like soldier ants. Chewing gum is a criminal offense. Not flushing toilets is a criminal offense. In fact, almost everything is a criminal offense, including being naked in your own home even when you're alone. This is an Orwellian country. A fekkin joke of a country. What's there not to like?
@leenathayil2039

@@brianlaudrup5271- I have lived in NYC and now living in San Francisco. Both cities have pockets of extremely shitty places where world-class criminal activities happens everyday and no one gives a shit. Why because there are no "criminal offense" rules established so people are so shitty and are full of envy of other successful people. In Singapore, no one cares. Traffic offenses in North America and Europe have heavy penalty too when you cross the line. In North America and Europe, if you are stark naked in your own home and your blinds or curtains are drawn closed, you can bet that your naked lifestyle is going to be displayed to the world via social media. Why, because people in these countries stay indoors most of the time and are bored so your nakedness is a past time for them. In Singapore no one cares. Why because most people are out of their homes enjoying the outdoors. Next time, when you sit on a disgusting salivary chewing gum on the train or bus or car, don't swear all the dirty f words. Just enjoy the chewing gum sticking to your bums. Don't glorify your western country or other western countries. There are many many serious faults in western countries. It's the same for any country.

@@Rondo2ooo Germans think they have an efficient tax system until they come to Australia. Here, we pay half the tax Germany charges but still get 90% of the benefits. Sure, we don't get unlimited paid sick leave, but we do get 10 days of paid sick leave, 20 paid vacation days, a dozen paid public holidays, 5 paid carer days, and 2 bereavement days. Plus, doing your taxes in Australia takes around 5 minutes, and we get our tax refunds back in 5-7 business days. I lived in Germany until 2017 and was thrilled to come back to the best country on earth-Australia. We have high wages, relatively low taxes, plentiful social benefits, government-subsidized university education at top universities, great weather, and beautiful beaches where we don't have to PAY TO SIT ON A BEACH CHAIR, unlike in Italy and other parts of Europe. Germany sucks balls...

This is the best and most helpful interview that Max has done. The health part is what I'm trying to achieve, doing the 16/8 fast, which is very doable. Some things which I didn't think it's possible for me, such as drinking kopi-o kosong, I'm doing it. I never even like coffee in the first place. 😀 But kopi-o kosong is very drinkable now, not my favourite I admit. But adding a little unsweetened oat milk, it's been my go-to beverage now. Like he said baby steps with small habits. Every small healthy habits we acquire, it's a win. Just have a series of small wins and it becomes something great, for our bodies.

@@jasmineteo9883 That is subjective since you are pro PAP from your statements, I am not surprised. PAP has its own bad sheep sleeping in Parliament as well and corruption case going on for a former Cabinet Minister, S. Iswaran. It is alright as Singaporeans just wanted a better Singapore, regardless of which political party they support. That is the beauty of a democratic society, isn't it?

It's akin to self-checkout at the supermarket. The government trusts that you fill in the information correctly. Indivual income tax account for $15.5 billion of the total $68.6 billion in tax earning. Unless you have to pay 6 digits worth of income tax, a few dollars off isn't a big deal.

Interesting discussion from a scientist. If you're considering 18:6 intermittent fasting (IF), a recent study shows the time you have the last meal of the day is important - when on IF diet those eating by 8pm are less likely to have high blood sugar, atherosclerosis and heart disease (early death) than those eating by 10pm. I'm uncertain why he takes a lot of chia seeds. If it's for omega-3 fatty acids, it is better to take algal or fish oil, which contain DHA and EPA (omega-3s which are shown to be better for the heart and brain), whereas chia seed's omega-3 is are in the form of ALA, not easily converted to DHA and EPA by the body.

Apples and oranges. Unlike Singapore, the U.S. has millions of released felons, criminal illegals, ferals from the African continent (the 13/65), violent gangs, and uncaught murderers (the estimate is over 250,000 unsolved murders) roaming the streets. In the U.S., you are at risk and living dangerously every minute ... as the 6 o'clock news will tell you daily.

Americans? I don't think they (many of them) care about anyone but themselves.
