This is more of a pure diesel locomotive with hydraulic drive instead of electric. I would say it's the most powerful diesel locomotive in the world in it's purest form. Wish we had hydraulics in America.

This is a really Diesel-hydraulic-locomotive and not like the other ones a electro-locomotive with an emergency-generator on board.

Cool, but I'm surprised we can only see the tractive effort meter go to about 200 to 250 kN, whereas this machine is capable of pulling 500 kN. This would mean that it could deliver much more spectacular performances than this? Furthermore, it's a pity that you can only hear this cool sound inside the engine room, but I guess the people living next to the railway wouldn't really mind this... :-D

I prefer the good old V160 fam instead of this one. This sounds nice but not beasty way to modern and the looks of it are awfull. For making this vid 5***** for the loco -500000000*
