Growing up isn't easy, u gotta lost someone, or something. This song doesn't only points to your love life but can also be someone in the family. Losing my mother from pneumonia, it did not came to me until she's gone that i wasted my last moments with her.. This song becomes my favorite. As a person who does have a lot of flaws in my body - pimples, scars on legs, etc this reminds me that I should accept who I am and love myself. Self acceptance is one way to boost our confidence. Before, I'm afraid to show my face, I'm ashamed to wear skirts or shorts but later on I realized that I why let my flaws choose what I need to do. And as I slowly accept who I am, I learned that I don't need someone's approval on what I need to wear or If I go out wearing mask. Loving our flaws is really important. Judgmental society can change one's perspective of themselves especially to the youths. Honestly, I, myself, am also insecure of what others looks and style. I had a rough childhood. I hated my step mother and eventually ended up hating myself without me realizing till it was too late. I wasn't always the first choice and nobody sided with me when I was young. I wasnt able to experience being a teenager because my mom left me and chose her girlfriend over me and her choices molded me into who I am today. I used to blame myself and tried to commit suicide because life was too cruel to me and I suffered so much at such a young age that I learned to hustle in order for me to survive. And now, 10 years have passed and I've became a doctor. I guess I owe it to the " bruises where I came from" I decided to love myself and let go of all the pains. I won't hide my beautiful scars anymore.
