Maximize Practice Time with This Strategy

I'm learning to play 'Puff the Magic Dragon' and there's a transition from G to B minor (4 strings) that I just can't get smooth. It always takes me forever (or at least it feels that way) to get to the B minor. And if I try to go faster it's just not even close to clean. I'll try some more focused isolation, but it's frustrating to try it over and over and still not be able to do it well.

Can I ask you for a favor? Its a song called, "This Bag" by Mac Ayers from the album, Something to Feel. Chord progression sounds simple but I don't know the name of it. Can you maybe go over it? Thanks

You got it! That's a ii-V-I chord progression in Ab and then there's a diminished chord connecting the I and the ii. The actual chords are: | Bbmin7 | Db9 | Abmaj7 | Abmaj7, Adim7 | LMK if that's helpful enough to figure it out.
