So where do you put your RCF knob? Keep in mind this is meant to be a starting point. You may need to adjust as the event rolls on. Explore RCF- djsupply.biz/RCFDJSS

You're right as in there's no right or wrong way since it's not going to introduce gain like some speakers do on inputs that have line/mic with the same knob. But for me what I do it set my speaker's level to where it's clipping when my mixer is showing two bars over 0db on the meters, so I know if I'm clipping/limiting the speaker without having to check behind the speakers, and then I never change it between gigs. I don't like setting a level before each gig because I want the headroom if I need to push more SPL if the room gets loud or the dance floor gets crowded. That said you really don't need to be that close to the RCFs speakers limiter, it gets loud quick and starts changing the dynamics or EQ when you start getting close to it's limit, you don't want to be there unless you have lol.

Art 932- 3 o’clock is perfect spot! Art 945- full knob- no red limit whatsoever!! Tried myself until hurting your ears still not red!! Anyways single 18 inch is hard to keep up with one 945! I own both 932 and 945 Digital mixer (accurately than analog) can also tell you if signal is going red then it is most likely limiting on speaker. Hard to check on speaker while DJing. The best combo I experienced is a pair of 932 with 18 inch Yorkville ES18p is best! Easy event for 300 guests!

@ well I have both! I take 932 with ES18p subs for 300 or less guests! 945 with subs when guests are over 300-500! I first bought 945 and found it very powerful and you would need two strong 18 inch subs with 1 945 top! If your events have less than 300 guests, go with 932 with subs! If you don’t want subs- buy a pair of 945! I always run subs no matter what! Afterall rcf tops are made of overall sound quality! Bass is there just for good sound overall! I expected more bass when I received these but I like it the way it is now! Clarity is top notch from other brands! Buy it from DJ guru! I believe they have discounts than online prices!

Great Video….also please do a video on how to STABILIZE RCF speakers on a tripod. RCF HDM 45A and 945A speakers wobble too much. There is no screw to tighten the speaker to keep the orientation throughout the gig. I currently put tape on the top of my tripod for a more snug fit. But sometimes it gets stuck inside. Love the speakers but hate the wobble.

Hiya, Can you please do a sound set up from mixer to speaker showing how the mixer is set up properly with the channel fader and the channel gain and then the master volume fader. Once that is set up then the speaker volume (or what ever you called it lol) Many thanks Regards Garry (Oxfordshire, UK)

For a question way out of the subject. Is the NX932 Worth the ekstra money vs the Art 932? Same amp, same drivers, different waveguide, wood cabinet and a different power input?
@gagandeepkangarh8884
@gagandeepkangarh8884 Ай бұрын
@victorparishus4716 my experience is that it is basically same unit! You might see some difference comparing face to face due to wood and slight bass difference. But if you are using sub with it, then it does not matter! Art is cheaper than NX and I am happy with art 932! If you need a bass out of art 932, I can boost up the lower frequencies a little bit where I am using only tops! I use Allen Heath CQ18T! Small mixer with bigger footprint! Hope it helps

I'm happy to share my perspective and you can always reach out and ask for Justin @ DJSupplyStore.com - I think it depends on how much you value the look, sound and durability of wood. The wooden box is a bit heavier by almost 10 lbs - it depends on your application, but that could make a difference. I also prefer the look of wood over ABS so for me that alone has value. As far as the sound, I could hear a small increase of low end on the wooden box due to wooden boxes losing less air, but it really wasn't a big difference imho.

@TheDJsGuru Ай бұрын
@@dynamix_ent1022 that’s cool, as long as you’re checking the back of the speaker - you don’t want any flashing or solid red and by turning it all the way up you’ll have more potential for that to happen. So just be vigilant during those loud songs or when the DJ is really getting into it.

@@dynamix_ent1022 yes those have a lot of headroom for sure. Our point here is that if you're going to turn the knob all the way up, just be vigilant that you're not redlining at any point as you'll have 0 room for error that way. @dynamix_ent1022

Correct, assuming that item you're referring to has a low level output which most devices like that do. If I were you, i'd test it out maybe at 3:00 first and go from there...At each venue too of course :)

That's the opposite of what we're recommending - very little room for error that way unless you're constantly monitoring the speaker during the event. We have always found 3:00 as the sweet spot, but each room differs.

if i understood the video correctly, in my case, just having the iFi Zen Blue 3 bluetooth receiver connected directly to the speaker to play music from Spotify/Tidal (i.e. without any mixer in the signal path), that knob should be turned all the way to the right; loudness will be controlled from the phone/tablet🤔

@ I call it harmonic distortion ;) On a serious note though, I start off running them at 3 on the dial, do a walk around and if it’s not loud enough I will turn it up a bit. If the mixer isn’t peaking or above 0 db, it should be fine really. It’s even recommended by RCF according to my local retailer
@TheDJsGuru
@TheDJsGuru Ай бұрын
@@mitas3484Agreed, 3 is the sweet spot for us as well - seems to fit most venues well. When we're outdoors we can typically put it all the way up, if the event calls for that much sound of course :)

Do you have any tips or the best preset/settings for RCF 8003 AS mk3 subs. I have the art 912-a tops. I go form my Yamaha mixer into the DJ controller and into the subs and from the subs to the tops. I cant seems to have it setup up right still a lot of bass coming thru even when the bass as been turn right off.
@DJWYN
@DJWYN Ай бұрын
You've got it backwards: go from controller to mixer. The Yamaha mixer should be the last point to mix everything: your mics and your controller, before sending the mixed-together signal to your speakers. With subs then you go from mixer to sub, then sub to top. Make sure that you're using the HPF out from sub to connect to top and you should be able to control your bass that way.
@atlargegroupllc2694
@atlargegroupllc2694 2 күн бұрын
@@DJWYN another tip you can do is run you subs off an aux channel of the Yamaha and connect the 912’s to the mains, you will have more control of your subs and your whole system ..With the aux you only add the subs to music inputs to your liking.
