That Z is stupid loud! Nice driving on your side 👍

This lap is quicker than what LZ managed in his GT3Rs. Not bad for a stock engined S2k!

Those tires and drag making the straights take forever! I used to hit the same end-of straight speeds in my stock FR-S at RA LMAO. RIP Francis :'(
@JackieDing866 жыл бұрын
There really wasn’t any drag at all from the rear wing and front splitter, as I had that wing fully trimmed out, but certainly the straight was very, very, VERY long

Balls of steel. How was the new aero, you feel it or not?
@JackieDing866 жыл бұрын
Yep I absolutely do feel it. Gained a maximum of 9.5 mph going through T5 compared to last year.

I’m curious how long the engine will last tracking it as much as you do. I know the 2.0 couldn’t handle it due to inadequate oil squirters and thin valve retainers. My stock AP1 is at 103xxx miles and I’m about to move to Atlanta. Can’t wait to track this little car!!!! Need to check my valve retainers. Awesome videos btw. Pretty cool to see what mostly stock power, aero, and awesome tires are capable of.
@JackieDing866 жыл бұрын
If I had an AP1 and was gonna track it, I’d change the retainers before even going to the track the first time.
@nathanielbarbeau48216 жыл бұрын
Jackie Ding shocked you actually replied to a comment. Thanks! I just read that the 2002 F20c engines may have updated oil jets. Honda learned that Autobahn driven cars failed due to insufficient oil jets driven at a constant high revs to maintain Autobahn speeds. Thank you Germany. Valve retainers only need replacing if accidental over-rev happened. They’re cheap enough. Titanium vs AP2...I’ll go with OEM AP2. Labor looks easy enough in my garage. Do you use any special fluids for racing? I stick with Castrol Edge, redline trans/diff, and motul dot 4. It’s scary and thrilling watching your videos!!! DONT LIFT DONT LIFT DONT LIFT!! My all season NEXEN tires mixed with AP1 snap drift mode is all I know. You inspire me to push the limits. Thank you!!

@nate, I endurance race an AP1 S2000. We go a little over 100 race hours between engine rebuilds. AP2 retainers and proper oil management are all that’s needed for good engine life.

I know Z's can sound trumpety, but that dude had full on elephant sounds going on. That alone would have annoyed the hell out of me out there

Do you get throttle cut when cornering hard on less than 3/8 tank? Is there a workaround?
@JackieDing866 жыл бұрын
Honestly I do not get fuel starvation until I’m 95% empty. In this video, I had a whiff of fuel starve out of T1 on my fastest lap, and the fuel gauge was almost empty.
@浪花-n1y6 жыл бұрын
:20 is that tire rubbing sound?
@JackieDing866 жыл бұрын
Yep a little. Heavy compression into T12 and T1 usually gets a little rubbing.
@WyFoster6 жыл бұрын
Instead of lifting going down right into the esses, try short shifting to 5th during your little lift there. I bet you $5 it's faster.

Nice work Jackie! What’s the issue with fuel ⛽️ starvation? Also, what oil pan are you using?
@JackieDing866 жыл бұрын
Still on a stock oil pan. Fuel starvation was literally because I was out of fuel haha
@apolloandratti79226 жыл бұрын
Jackie Ding Any plans for baffled pan? Are you monitoring oil pressure? those speeds, you are pulling the Gs!
@JackieDing866 жыл бұрын
Apollo Andratti yep, the new gauge on the left side is for Oil Temp and Oil Pressure. Instead of a baffle I went ahead and did an Accusump. Working well so far.

This is the 2.2! I like the 2.0 too but my driving style requires a little more torque, and this 2.2 is more reliably...
