I respectfully disagree with the whole video content and here is why: *There is no such thing as maximum spacing between columns. *As a civil/ structural Engineer one must ask what happens when the spacing between columns is increased. *The answer to the above question is the depth of the beam spanning between two columns( if beam slab system is used) or the thickness of slab( if flat slab system is used) and also the required cross section of the column will increase( compared to lower spans) together with reinforcement demand and this increase in demand can be calculated following code stipulated rules and engineering judgment. *As far as one can verify the depth provided for beam (or slab) is adequate against deflection ( as deflection would start to govern the design once span starts to increase and yet flexure, shear and other internal actions should also be verified) then one can go as much as 20m or 65 ft ( I have witnessed this span with post tensioned flat slab system). *burj khalifa, one of the high rise building has a span of 9m and 3m cantilever(surprise surprise) ( it was designed with post tensioned flat slab and then was changed without design approval to 200 mm thick RC flat slab, this has caused an issue and 10 floors that were already casted were strengthen using CFRP... this is to debunk what the video suggested for mega projects). *One must also note that this days high strength concrete is becoming widely available due to material such as GGBS, silica fume, strength enhancing admixtures and so on. high strength concrete ,as the codes of practice suggests, would result in higher modulus of elasticity which intern means less deflection and in terms of cross section lower cross section requirement and lower reinforcement demand as higher concrete capacity is achieved. therefore with high strength concrete one can achieve longer spans than the usual. *Plus parking and flexibility of movement for car would usually demand longer spans from architectural perspective. *Even a book by MacGregor and white(Reinforced Concrete: Mechanics and Design) suggests spans up to 12m with the use of waffle slab system ( a system usually preferred for long span constructive even with low strength concrete). In summary, there is no such thing as maximum span for columns and one is expected to show that deflection, flexure, shear and axial load ( and their interactions) is within the code allowed limit, then any span is acceptable.

Its incomplete information. ..... ddnt gv the load caculation basis .... ddnt explain how to do the calculation. .... ddnt explain what distance need what kind of rod. .... ddnt explain what depth of pillar needed for what kind of distance between two columns. ..... you need to be more precise and more careful while explaining this kind of topic. ... you should have given some practical example of different distance based calculations for better learning.

Minimum distance between two column is not limit to 2.5m. We can take as close as 1metre OE even less.
