Ehh, I’ve gotten them up to like 130 something kph in MW5, lol. Also, you haven’t seen the UM-LAM variant, decked out for speed, going like 114 normal run speed, and oh god when you use the lam thrusters, hitting like 700 kph over time. It’s fun to go VTOL hunting in it.

You want strong? Get the clan invasion mod (if you don't already). Those pirate mechs and superheavies are beasts. Superheavies have tons of weapons, but slow. Pirate mechs are all over-tonnage with tons of weapons, armor, and speed. Ever seen an annihilator run 150 kph with 6 ballistic and 8 energy hardpoints all filled up with high tier weapons? I run hardened ferro on all my mechs because of those situations

The problem with the clan invasion mod is it's filled with game breaking cheat items. Litterall 4 ton 1 slot weapons that will 1 shot any mech in the game. Heatsinks with +4.0 heat dissipation etc etc. It's a cheat mod.

For your next test case I'll recommend the HGN-RS Redshank. Unlike the HGN-HM Heavy Metal you've tried before the RS is configured for a left arm melee weapon. That may be an option to exploit less than optimal heat management with Triple Strength Myomer and heat free chops to the back torso as you jump jet next to or behind the opponents. Maybe combine that with a Black Carapace for extended duration robot boxing action.

Happy New Year Baradul and Mechwarriors! as for the partial wing system, that might be alot fun on a Highlander ^^ but the Urbie... idk, seems rather lackluster tbh, just not enough firepower or weight to work with and the Evasion only does so much, plus it might be that the pilot stats switch to another mech with u when u change to another mech, which would have left the Urbie even less defended as it was surrounded by alot enemys. just a guess ofc

Here's how I would have made the UrbanLord viable. 1.) Take out the UAC-20 & put it back on the King Crab-Carapace, because that is too heavy of a weapon for a 70-tonner. 2.) Take out all of the UAC-20 ammo. 3.) Take out the Angel ECM, the Armor NSS, & the Cockpit Hotseat before putting the Cockpit Command in & replace the Armor NSS afterwards. 4.) Upgrade the Jump Jets to the highest tier you have/can find. (And for Christ's sake, put the 4th one back in the Left Torso so they're balanced out!) 5.) Replace the SRM's with a pair of Clan LRM-10-ST's & do the same with the Ammo, going for Double Bins to save space & weight. 6.) Put an L-AMS in the Right Torso - so you don't have to worry about ammo for it - & a TAG or Light-TAG in the Left one - to help with Missile accuracy. 7.) Instead of the UAC-20, use either a RAC-2, RAC-5, your Tier V AC/2-BF I can see right there on the screen at 53:09, or a Machine Gun Array - either the x2 you got this episode or the x4 variant you'd have to find because you did NOT pick it up when THAT showed up. 8.) Put an ER M P-Laser, M Laser SB, or even an SN PPC in the Left Arm. 9.) Put in the biggest engine possible, so you can put a Heat Sink into the Center Torso. 10.) Fill the rest up with missile ammo, machine/RAC/AC ammo, & Double Heat Sinks - which I notice the mech doesn't have even one of right now. 11.) Mech Upgrade tab - which I notice you did NOT do - & give it all the upgrades it can handle, focusing on Ballistic Damage, Missile Damage, the Jump Jet stuff, & anything that helps with speed &/or evasion. And that's how you make a GOOD UrbanLord with the parts you already have.

36:40 Question about the Radical Heatsinks: Do they blow up when they fail? Or do they do internal damage? I've been using some in one mech, both singles and a kit in the engine, what I've noticed is that I take sometimes internal damage (seen in a side torso), (which is also repaired by the harjel I have on it, I don't know though if that damage procs it to start repairing, or it is from another incoming fire during the fight). Also another thing I'm wondering, is the internal damage from MASC, supercharger, (radical heatsinks?) also capable of doing crit damage on the items that are inside that mech part, like criting an XL side torso?

I did a quick test run. I have some bad and good news. The good news is that the radical heatsinks failures do indeed proc harjel repairing, the bad news is that when I returned home, one radical heatsink and one harjel part both in the CT were yellow-partially damaged. I had about 5-6 heatsink failures during the test run. So I guess that XL engines could eventually also blow up(?).

Try NSS, partial wing + the AOE weapons because they don't register threat and the NSS makes enemies more likely to ignore you so you can fly over doing strafing runs

I can highly recommend the Highlander HM (Heavy Metal) hero. It's my current main mech. In addition to having the high mobility (for a 90 ton assault), it has absolutely ridiculous amounts of armor, and can still present a dangerous level of firepower without any significant cooling issues. I'm sure you could come up with an interesting build for it.

Bara, weapon build Idea for the Urbie Lord that might work with all the equipment it has in it: 1 LBX 10(c) 2 Medium Pulse(c) and 2 SRM 6(c) Will have enough raw DPS to be annoying, and stay relatively cool in terms of heat to be efficient. Worth a try?

Urbie might still be possible. That was an extremely hostile environment. Would any Mech have survived that test? I would lose the hot seat and look at lbx to replace the UAC/20. You might also look for an Upper Recoil for that arm

43:40 I was hoping you would step on it. I think they get destroyed too, like regular turrets. Btw, I had made a similar urbie, the 30 ton one, for recon missions. Tbh, I didn't like the partial wings because it makes you glide more, which reduces your speed until you drop. With 6 jumpjets + supercharger I get a good combo of using the one while the other recharges. Also, I use 3 gatling machine guns, ~5 dps each for 1.5 ton, and 3 flamers, since I'm able to get close fast to a mech that sends a distress call. I'm currently looking to find another heavier mech that can carry the heavy machine guns(c) and/or heavy flamers, that do more dps.

@Baradul, You should try to fit the Triple Strength Myomer onto the Urbanlord considering how hot the mech gets. Doing so will make your mech significantly faster the hotter you keep the Urbanlord over 50% Heat.

This is more of a meme build but 10 UAC/2's on a mech with UAC fire rate quirks is a good bit of Brrrt. BTW the Marauder S7 you built had intact endo composite... Also the Phoenix Hawk IIC is a great Partial Wing System platform, you could probably make it your plasma rifle mech.

i think the secret to this idea is to not be greedy drop the uac20 and try something like an lbx 10 if your trying to evade, a quick shoot and scoot is the way to go. its never going to be the big damage dealer unless your going for damage over time

Get the Modular Targeting Computer. That will allow you to change the BC's.

BC's each require 1 slot and one ton and the greatest limitation on mech power is slots. They aren't worth the slots. TC Adv give you several BC worth of benefits for 1 ton and don't take other slots.
