Play the free base, if you like it and want multiple seasons then pay for more. If not, then you lose nothing. What’s laughable, is people upset with this, but spend hundreds of dollars on MUT. This is a great thing to do because unlike EA you are not forced into spending $70 on a broken game right away, instead here you can play for free and then you decide whether it's worth it to pay for the other 2 kinds of playable versions. You're not forced into spending $40 right away so this is a good start for them.

We got multiple FPS to choose from, multiple Role Playing games to choose from, multiple Racing games to choose from, multiple fighting games and platformers but when it comes to sports titles, it seems like we can’t get more than 1 decent sports game to choose from and our best bet is playing semi-old to old games that are outdated and even some of those games were outdated when it was released (except for most of the PS2 Madden, 2K and Show games and obviously graphically they are worse than today but the depth was there). Why is this genre so depraved? so underwhelming?

Play FFFL: Brutalball It is a strange take on the football genre that puts me in the mind of Mutant Football League. This is a game that features mythical creatures like Elves, Halflings, Gnomes, Minotaurs, and still has humans in it. The game is played iron man style, meaning the players that play offense, also play defense. You have 3 "Runners" who essentially are your RB/QB. They can run the ball or pass it. They rotate out every play. You have 2 Gunners who are receivers, and then you have 3 OL. On Defense you have 3 DL, 3 LB, and 2 "Cover" which are Defensive backs. Your coaches have certain abilities and their playcalling ratings affect how your team plays. There are injuries in this game, even career ending ones like death. You don't actually play this game on the field, it is a manger game, but you can slow watch the games if you like. The graphics and sound are pretty poor, but give this FREE GAME a chance, and I think you will see the fun and charm in it.

I know we're all watching an alternative to EA football games but they have more than terribly handeled the launch of this game. I was all on board even before they announced it would be free but the constant delays, making it steam early access, and then coming out with these tiers rather than announcing this from jump is really disappointing. I just wish from jump they would have been straight up, say were releasing the game in 2025 for $40 and I would fully support that

If a company isn't open and upfront with what they're selling us or at least willing to communicate with potential customers, everyone except EA loses. I think a lot of the community has been expecting completely free when that hasn't been the case. Play the free version, see if you like it, give them feedback

Every time I've heard the developers mention "dynasty" mode it's been college and pro being "franchise". Also maybe it's because I played ncaa and madden for years that I automatically associated those words with the modes. Where you are right: a video with graphics would have done the trick. I'm not one of those confused, but I cannot deny they should have dumbed this overview down so everyone could follow. Where you are wrong: the reasoning for your argument of Madden/ncaa being different because they come separately. No matter how you look at it, this 39.99 price tag a) gets you an infinitely updated game that has potential of becoming a better experience than the alternative in 3-5 years for 1/8th of the price and/or b) gets EA to step their product up to to quash Maximum Football completely or c) gets an even bigger team working on it and taking the official licensing away from EA.

Ryan, not sure if you remember back when the news of this "free" game was announced before the demo even came out, I was asking how they were going to monetize this game. No company comes out, makes a product, and then just gives it away for free, especially when it is their first offering of its kind. I had my suspicions. But then they came out and said, "Oh, well the game will be free. There will be items you can buy to support the game if you want, and they won't be pay to win items, they will be cosmetic only." I thought, "Well, fair play to them. They want to really get this game out there in the hands of lots of people and actually get feedback, and if you want to support them you can." Still, I had my suspicions. Now the truth comes out. Everyone is still acting like this is a tiny, little, poor indie dev team of like 3 people. It isn't. This is MODUS. They've made lots of games for years. A lot of crappy, carbon copy games. Did people not seriously check them out? Another thing that should alarm people is that they've never made a sports game before. That might just have something to do with why this game took so long to release, and it STILL is missing basic football items in it. No playaction passes, no screen plays, no OPTION PLAYS...in a COLLEGE BASED game?

This video and the comment section is ridiculous. I don’t want to sound like a simp, but here’s the thing. I’ve been in contact with a lot of people in the community with community updates. Yes there are things that is not there, like PA or screen, and it sucks. But there still is a lot of hope in this game. This game shows us that maybe Madden is a bit better of a game than we thought (because of all of the development over the years). And trust me I cannot stand Madden at all! (Ps2 era by far the best). There are a ton of details that takes place in football. There are a lot of details in the customization options. Everyone needs to take a chill pill. Yes the beta wasn’t that fun (gameplay wise), but I do believe this is a game that will get better over time. Either that or we get another game delay for 2-3 more years. And trust me, I hate “early release games” that aren’t finished from the start. This maximum games team doesn’t seem like these other f2p games, micro transactions. This team seems like they actually care about the product, the community, and football. Gosh, I’m so sick of the negativity of this channel sometimes. Again, this team cares more about the community, the product, and getting better. This is something MADDEN And EA doesn’t do. So people, yes the game is not going to be perfect, and it does deserve the criticism that comes from it. But the negativity like “dead on arrival” and other things is ridiculous. This is an Indy game developer trying to make their company bigger.
