Yeah, once you up the copper side of things, you are gonna see a dramatic increase in coins. It's about balancing all the material productions because they all rely on each other. Also take advantage of the blueprinting of smelter setups, etc. so much easier

I may be odd as a factory gamer in that I actually enjoy the process of building out the factory so I rarely use blueprints in any game.

@@PI_Joe_MamaIt makes sense and most players probably do it that way. There's just something about blueprints in general that I don't like, though I do occasionally make use of them. For me, repeatedly pasting in pre-built setups is less fun. I still do it from time to time, especially in factorio, but once I find myself pasting my way to a large factory, I'm usually feeling a bit bored. I'm sure most players would get bored if they DIDN'T use blueprints. I'm just a little different when it comes to that.

@@PI_Joe_MamaThat's what I like. I'm really in it for the JOURNEY not the DESTINATION. I don't like overthinking too much in the beginning. I'd rather just build something that's somewhat scalable, then keep refining the design as needs and/or problems necessitate.

Hi GC and anyone roaming this chat... On both devices you can play this for free atm, I think it's a little more polished on Apple because that's where it started. It's like having Factorio in your pocket, pretty amazing game, deep research and recipes. At least a 'must try' if you like the automation genre. Hope to play it on my PC as well when it comes out. 'whishlisting now' LOL.

Thanks and welcome to the channel! I'm having some issues with the settings for my audio. My first attempt to raise the volume ended up introducing a bunch of distortion which sounded bad. I'm still working on getting the volume up while maintaining the sound clarity.

Having 2 tier 2 and 1 teir 1 gives you perfect efficiency into a smelter

Tier 1 extractors make 7,5 items per minute or 0,125 items/s The furnaces turn 1 ore into 1 ingot over 2 seconds, so their requirement to run full would be 0,5 ore/s, making the perfect ratio 4 tier 1 extractors to furnaces. workshops turn 2 iron ingots into 1 gear over 4 seconds, so their intake requirement is 0,5 ingots/s. So the perfect gear-producing ratio is 4:1:1 assuming all buildings are the same tier.

I usually don't worry about perfect ratios unless there's a compelling reason to do so, for example wasted energy or resources. The reason is that in this game (and many other factory games) the upgraded (i.e. higher throughput) machines tend to come at different intervals, making it difficult to maintain perfect ratios without recurring rework as different machines in a production chain get upgraded at different times. I hope that makes sense. All the same, that is good information to know. Thanks! 👍

I’ve been watching this series and decided to play because it’s really the type of game I like. I stumbled across something that is now annoying. I accidentally let gears merge into metal sheets at a 3-way separator going into a machine shop for metal frames I believe and it seems that the machine shop locked up. Is there no way to remove items from conveyor belt as there is in other games like Dyson sphere program? so far the only way I can find to resolve the issue is completely dismantle the entire affected area which is quite annoying.

There might be an easier way, I don't know. Another thing you can do is just rotate the belt with the items you want to clear. Rotating seems to remove the items from the belt.
