Can you explain the concept behind the addition of 2+3 ohm to find the load resistance?

Why is the Thevenin resistance 3+2=5 in series? I would have thought they should be in parallel, 2||3. How do you know when to use series or parallel calculations? Thank you for the video!

uumm the 3ohm resistor was supposed to be considered to find Vth
@EEAcademy20228 жыл бұрын
+Tafadzwa E Tarwireyi , you are right. But, here I am not applying VDR to calculate Vth. To maintain uniformity, I have used Vth = In * Rth rule to calculate Vth
@innpower4288 жыл бұрын
ok thanks l was using the VDR method dont know the one you used either way good tutorial

Why the of maximum power is divided by 4? tell me please
@EEAcademy20227 жыл бұрын
It is according to maximum power transfer theorem. A load will receive maximum power if Rl = Rth and received maximum power will be (Vth)^2/ 4Rth See the following derivation kzbin.info/www/bejne/rnWQaq1om7Vng7s

why 3ohms resistor is taken while applying current divider rule why cant we take 2ohms resisitor
@EEAcademy20226 жыл бұрын
This is how we apply CDR when two resistors are connected in parallel.
@shifazahera70996 жыл бұрын
Actually it is nothing but applying current division rule

the R th value is 5 oh om
@christopherteo4446 Жыл бұрын
all of the explanation are wrong....the solution on rth is wrong he did not parrallel the r1 on the sum of r2 and r3.....and in vth r3(2ohms) not suppose to be add cause the rl become open circuit mean no more current flow on r3

Uhm. I think i thev. Theorem. You have to short not to open the source l. 3ohm must be included on Rth ans. Pls. Guys..
