I just beat 3rd strike with an A++ rank as Q on my PS2 (legitimately, so no TAS) and I only lost 1 round: the 1st round against Q. When the 2nd round part of the song kicked in, I was filled with determination and I felt impowered and was able to beat q in the 3rd round.

This is not only Q's theme. It is also Kuroda's. 2:06 No matter the trouble this guy went through, the stratospheric level he reached and allowed us to see are all expressed in this music. Yes it was only a game, but it gave us the opportunity to see that some men are clearly above the masses. Thank you kuroda for all this epic moments you gave to us. I don't know what your situation is right now. But put the energy and the skill you've put in 3rd strike anywhere else and success will inevitabely come. Or is he working to protect someone else, someone with even more hidden agendas? The fact remains, some may be after him, but the question is....what is he after? Will he ever find it? Is he after the win? The fight? The glory or the pain? Is he just doing what he has been taught by the world, or Is he teaching the world a lesson? Motive or not, it seems like you found him...or he found you. Make it count, Warrior... Because he might just give you a good reason to fight.

I think it's due to how the Dreamcast emulates sound. The port of Garou : Mark of the Wolves is the same way; The original arcade sound is a little bit...Rough, but edgy at the same time. The AST in that game, on the other hand, sounded cleaner, but wasn't as expressive. I feel that this is what happend here. I LOVE this theme and character, just not this particular cut, K'? Peace!

Yep, it do have a down-low feel to it; but the 2nd mix sounds really desperate. Like he don't fight to test skill but to kill. The 3rd sounds like there's no hope to beating him. Overall the track fits Q. Moving without emotion or pain. A true test to any fighter.

Well the design part probably comes from the boat dude who could possibly also be the inspiration for the spy bots from the SF2 anime. He could also be David from Q's end cut scene since they both have the same shirt and tie and if you look at his character portrait he seems to have a dark skinned neck.

The " what's left of Chun Li's father" theory is just as valid as any other theory. The outfit does seem like a hint from Capcom. As for the mechanical thing thing why does he breath and how can make noises that sound like a HUMAN mumbling. And it isn't too farfetched that Bison reworked him into a cyborg slave after he killed him.
