Hey I have the previous mx6 lift that was made by Danmar….on my lift I replaced all the fittings and hoses and I have zero leaks. So many past reviews talked about how cheap the fittings are so I never even use the set that came with my lift. Bought all new hoses and fittings on Amazon. Yeah I know that adds to the cost, but it’s worth it to me to not deal with leaks. Like you, I love the maxjax lift.

I wanted a full size but you need a forklift or they won't ship it to you so I went with max jax too glad to hear you guys find it beneficial.

It’s the best! Wish we had 2!

You can buy support stands that are 54" to 84" and cut off 13-14" off main tube and they work great with this lift. I also had leaks on new lift by Bendpak. I've owned this lift twice and when Danmar made it and they used teflon tape so did I and no leaks. The Thread locker just doesn't work well.

I just recently seen this system at a guy's house I went to go buy some parts from. He had good things to say about it as well. Pretty neat system if you ask me.

Tools that work under the shorter lifts are not as common to find. I could use a jack like that. Thanks for watching

You can buy (shorter) tripod stands from Greg Smith Equipment that fit perfectly under this lift. I have a pair of these.

We’ll look into it!

Would that be used for extra layer of safety incase lift fails?
@snake_eyes_garage2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the review. FWIW I had considered either these or the QuickJack and bought the QuickJack 7500 instead and will say that I use my floor jack and stands more. The QuickJack lift plates are so damn heavy to move I'd prefer not to. So I'd say to anyone if you got the money, get the MaxJax.

They are worth the money, don’t know how we would do some of our projects without it. Thanks for watching!

Do you recommend leaving a car off the ground a little bit when not driving to keep flat spots from forming if not driving all the time? Have a 68 Camaro that getting new transmission and rear end gears
@jerayracing5 ай бұрын
I keep my duster on jack stands over the winter to keep the drag tires from flat spotting. If you use a lift and can let the suspension to hang, you may get less sagging of your springs. It may not make a big difference but for the little effort it takes it’s worth it for peace of mind. Thanks for watching

Good content brother. I’m really looking into one of these for a house garage.

Yeah - you mentioned the price. It's absurd, being that they've nearly doubled in price in 3 years. I think they're missing their market. People willing to spend $4000 on a lift probably have an actual shop, or have a larger garage. People with a small, home garage probably aren't going to want to drop that much. I'm looking for other options, unless the price of these comes down a bit.
@jerayracing Жыл бұрын
The price increases are crazy, glad I got mine when I did. Your right, no one is making money with this lift, just us hobbyists and it’s too high now. Thanks for watching.
@stellijer Жыл бұрын
@@jerayracing Indeed. Someone making money with their lift won't be using it in an 8' garage. It's for those of us who just want to do more of our own work on our own cars. I have to wonder if their sales have tanked. Sometimes companies double down on price hikes when they start losing money, though, instead of realizing they are driving off their core customer base. Unsure what's happening here.

My m7k is arriving next week. You might need new o rings to stop the leaks.

You will like that lift. It came with sealer and I did not use it everywhere like I should have. Where I used it I have no leaks

How safe is it without being bolted down.
@jerayracing8 ай бұрын
When we store them unbolted they can be a little wobbly but they won’t tip over
@jerayracing8 ай бұрын
It’s bolted down when in use. Just showing it’s easily portable to get out of your way when not needed. We have two sets of bolt holes depending where we want to use it. Thanks for watching

But can you lift a full size truck?
@jerayracing Жыл бұрын
It has a 6000lbs capacity. We’ve lifted a Dodge Charger and a Ford Flex. We could have lifted our f150 but the running boards prevented us from doing that because we had the posts to close at the time.
@williamnaugle19172 жыл бұрын
how far apart did you set your post?,think of going the max of 135".
@jerayracing2 жыл бұрын
We are 86” inside edge of the plate to inside edge or 112 outside to outside edge. Works fine for small cars but not bigger vehicles. The advantage is it takes up less space in the shop down side is you cannot open the doors. I was trying to avoid the saw cuts in the floor. Wider is better

@@jerayracing I went 134.5,should work well for my silverado and my 76 camaro.By the way,git those stands from vevor, very nice.

I need to work on our Chrysler Town and Country, its listed at 6050 pounds, would the MK6 works for it or do I need the MK7? these things prices are more for people like Donald Trump than to the average home garage do it yourself!!
@jerayracing9 ай бұрын
6050 is most likely the gross weight, your curb wt is about 4800. I have had our 4800lb ford flex on ours. Door sticker will say cargo capacity subtract that from the gross wt and get approximate wt of your van. Look up your curb wt then your gross wt. thanks for watching
