Nothing, NOTHING is better than a well planned customized toolbox. LOVE it!

Prossibly a nice addition to the top of the tool box would be a multimeter or a multimeter current clamp, I got a very good and compact UT210E myself and been using it for years now, no complaints and it has worked reliably for myself. An amazing bit of kit you got there good sir.

Very cool. Could you share some plans for the 3d printed Inlays?
@johnshaw188310 ай бұрын
Wow, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I have done a similar thing to my festool boxes. I also split a 3 drawer systainer into a 2 drawer systainer. I remember, I had to make 6 metal wedges and push each wedge into the 6 locations in the drawer frame, then give it a good pull to separate the drawer frames. I thought I was the only person who knew how to split the systainer drawers. In my festool systainer, I have also put small tables on the sides. They are very useful for putting tools on so you don't have to bend all the time. My side table surfaces dismantle and go inside the tool box though to allow for transportation. I can try to get a video on KZbin sometime if you are interested to see it. Keep up the good work!

well thought through box. Designing and printing these are so satisfying if it all falls in place . I recognise a lot of the tools in my box too. Weicon no 5 missing! (I was sceptical, plastic tool, can't be good, but it's the quickest and most efficient tool when stripping loads of wires).. I am not a fan of the Wera allen keys with the large bulky plastic on it. everybody seems to be using them, but I personally favour their stainless set. Also a fan of that 35Nm 12V bosch driver.

I would find room for a 12v Milwaukee bandsaw or jigsaw, a caulking gun, pry bar, level you could hang those from the table on the side. A plumb bob, 4'" vise, some sandpaper electrical duct and painters tape, super glue with accelerator, heat shrink, headlamp, small coil of dyneema line and you should be able to handle most things that can be finished or repaired in a day.

3:08 the orange caps i know for sure are not for electrical cables. They are for phone / alarm cable that have a low voltage and carry a low current. I know this for a fact because i worked with it and i an a full licensed electrician too ... Since you said they are for " garden electric stuf and water tight" yea they are water tight but again you cant have anything bigger then a cat 5 cable as an example .. but even for that they are bad because they would cut those cabels right out .. ( since they are single core often) Just sort of feel need to warn people so they dont start using them for any 230 volt stuff ... the blue cap once i cant comment on, dont remember using them ever

If I needed bigger wheels I would just strap the whole thing to a cart for crates. Like the one movers use. With 300mm wheels.
@el_micha8 ай бұрын
"Blue Wheels" are not too bad for this, as being used for flight cases to transport event equipment. They're a reasonable compromise between tiny wheels and those balloony big tires as in a wheel barrow. Diameter is 100mm /ca. 4 in. and they are firm enough to not wobble too much and soft enough to give in a bit. Either way the problem one might run into is tipping hazard. The higher off the ground the cart goes the more likely it will tip bcs of the small footprint. Loading it top heavy makes it worse. Plz rmember a Festool Systainer box is only 40 x 30 cm in footprint (15.75 x 12 in.)

Hauptsache du machst etwas was du interessant findest. Gerade Handwerker sind gefragt wie nie.
