In this Quick Tip, Jonas Pilz (@jonaspilz3d) shows how to render Pyro in Cinema 4D using Redshift. You will learn how to make the volume data from the simulation available in the scene so it can be rendered, and how to create a Pyro Volume material to make the simulation look good immediately.

Would be nice if someday what we see in the viewport will be what we see in render just clicking render (standard, physical or redshift) by default. Also I wait some tutorial for vray 🙏🏻. Great tips and great new add for cinema anyway 🤘🏻🤘🏻

save as a VDB and load the VDB in vray thats it.

@@blckops712 Thank you! I did that but could only render the smoke. The fire, using the temperature channel does not appear. I saw a vray tutorial where they only import the vdb in the volume grid object and with the default settings the fire rendered. I am exporting the vdb in the wrong way surely. There is little information about it yet. I will investigate a bit and surely soon someone will upload a pyro tutorial with vray.

@@blckops712 Its not that easy. I use Vray very well, but shading the VDB is almost next to impossible, if not excrutiating

We can also use the cache files with Arnold Volume 😉 my pc not support redshift, thank you maxon

Nice - but how to render Pyro on network rendering? I've cached scene and there is still no pyro in rendered images ... In viewport it works, in local render - it works - but not on multi-node rendering.. How to set it up ?

hi, when trying to render out the pyro with redshift at a specific frame, (ive set to current frame, fram 80), but it just render out the first (frame 1) frame and finish. Any solution on this?

Will there be an option in the future to rende rin physical render? like Turbulence FD?

he explained it doesn't support volumes, you need to switch to a current gen engine like redshift (which maxon should provide by default, but charges extra for) MAXON, INCLUDE REDSHIFT STANDARD, MAYA DOES IT WITH ARNOLD

how does pyro render under matrix system object, is it the same workflow just replace objects with RSmatrix ones?

Hello, tell me please, maybe, do you know, how to render pyro 'smoke' with maximum details, not just blurry cloud? Could I render it like a space dust?

Hello, I've encountered a problem but not sure if it's a bug. I added the "Pyro Emitter" tag to the created model and clicked the play button, but nothing changed in the preview window. According to the steps of the official demonstration, when you click play, the preview window should show fireworks emitting from the surface of the model. The computer I am currently using is: OS: windows10 22H2 Software version: C4D 2024.1 CPU: i5 10400 GPU: RTX 3070 Memory: 32GB If you have heard of or encountered this problem, can you tell me how to solve it? Thanks!

I am fumbling with that now, I have the emitter in a Connect, then turn off the particle after caching. bumbling in the dark...

Creat new tool. But I become VRAM error messages from Cinema when I simulate the scene.

FYI, you don't explain the Pyro object at all. I had to figure out that was a completely separate thing.

They use, they use. :) But mainly for Sketch and Toon. He is irreplaceable here. However, in this style, Pyros can be turned into volumes and rendered as objects.

I guess with octane render we must import the vdb sequence into the octane volume object instead of just applying a shader to the pyro object, right?

add a simulation/collider tag on the objects you want pyro to interact with.
