Very nice install. I am waiting on a set to come in at the dealership. Was a rough ride yesterday but I had to take the new xmr out. -16 c . Little chilly . Doesn’t matter how good your gloves are , your hands get cold fast without heated grips. Also ordering a windscreen . Makes for a more comfortable ride in the northern Canadian winters.

On my 2013 outlander I put spray foam in the handle bars before I put the grips on !! I found that they get hotter !!

Have you had any problems with your thumb warmer? Mine worked the first ride out then never worked again, I’m replacing it this weekend with another new heating element that hopefully last longer that one ride, the heated grips though have worked great, no problems there, so I’m guessing it’s just a rare manufacturer defect with my thumb warmer, already trouble shooted it to being the thumb warmer and not the control box, so I should be good once I get the new heating element installed. Great video and very helpful, I’m a visual learner so reading some paper instructions doesn’t work the best for me, this video is perfect!

Soapy water helps a ton to slide the cover on the thumb throttle. I think the washer goes under the metal support plate. I noticed the cut when you were taking the gauge cover off lol, what a pain.

I did not have to cut the plastic but I did adjust the switches a little bit to provide more room for the controller unit

The dummy cap should come on the bike and the harness for the heated handgrips

If the digital display is not fit it into the plaster, causing the dealership, probably didn’t install it during the PDI Remove the fourth screws on the outside of the plastic housing. Install the digital gauge from the front.

Yep just plug the heated handgrips into the existing connector on the unit

No idea unless it is a Can-Am accessory you’ll most likely have to cut the wires to add in another accessory which is fine as long as it’s done properly

I got problems with my set.. 2019 Outlander 570, and its stop working. When i push the controls for handwarmers or thumbwarmer, the indicator turns on very quickly then dies out and nothing works.. Any idea where i shuld start looking for fault??

It should be very similar there might be a different connector coming off the wiring harness for the heated handgrips but just look behind the consul for a similar connector on the machine👍

Just here to see if the right hand grip was installed correctly. I can’t believe can am has the bottom of the grip clamp upside down. Looks wrong.

I would not recommend cutting the Handgrips you could short out the wiring inside a little bit of overhang is quite normal

If it came with handgrips you will. You can also stick an air nozzle in it and pull while blowing air in it

what happens if the wiring harness is not there? There is no matching type harness on my machine? 570 Max XT.

The little white connector should be underneath your center consul. Sometimes there is a second black connector, which you wouldneed a harness to tap into.
