“PRINCESS PRINCESS” were the first all-female band to perform at Nippon Budokan. In April 1989, they released seventh single, "Diamonds", and It reached No. 1 on the charts and became the first million-seller, In July 1989, it was remade as this eighth single "Sekai De Ichiban Atsui Natsu (The Hottest Summer in the World)". This song also reached No. 1 on the charts consecutively, followed by their fifth album "LOVERS", released in November, which also reached No. 1 on the album chart for the first time and became a million-seller. They became popular in Japan as the No. 1 popular girl's band. The band has been active for 13 years, and the total number of live audience attendance has reached 1.9 million. In 13 years, 21 singles and 15 albums (including the best albums) have been released. There are 120 original songs. It's very unfortunate that many of their works have not had the opportunity to sign an official release contract in the US and UK, and have been closed to Japan releases only, and remain unknown to the worldwide. In their heyday, If "PRINCESS PRINCESS" had gotten the chance to be released overseas, their characters, playing ability, and songwriting abilities would transcend the language barrier. They had the power to appeal to people all over the world.

バンドやってましたが、女性でもバンド組めると知らしめたバンドで、ファンではないですが、作詞、作曲はすべての曲、完成度高いです。しかも、女性の方が楽器演歌ははっきり言って上手いです！売れた訳がわかります。バンドで一番すごいのは、ミスが無い！あと、楽器で、ギターGibsonのSGは何となく、チューリップみたいな形で、女性が使用するギターみたいな感じですが、プリンセスプリンセスのギタリストが、Gibson SG流行らせたと言っても良いです！使用する楽器に注目あびたバンドでもあります。海外ではAC/DCのギタリストがGibson SGしか使用しませんね。楽器に注目されていた時代でもありました。

この2人の選曲の仕方は凄い好きだわ。 もう少し工夫したら視聴数も伸びる可能性ある気がするんだよなぁ。 ただそれでも、在り来りな米津玄師とかワンオクばっかリアクションしてるチャンネルよりはるかに面白いわ。

私、あまりアニメ見なかったのですが、社会人になって、たまたま、バンドテーマにした。京都アニメーションの→けいおん→というアニメをみました！最初、恥ずかしい感じしましたが、曲の楽器ごと聞き分けて聞くと、すごい！作曲した人、すべて名曲だと感動しました。一度、最後まで見るとバンドって、こういう風に作るんだという事がわかるので、恥ずかしながら見てみて下さい！傑作アニメです。→演奏楽しい構成です
