I’ve been watching for some time now. I often see northern Ohio and southern Michigan included in storm predicted areas or some condition worrying happening. I’m on a peninsula into Lake Erie which is Ohio other than its northernmost Tip which is Michigan. So far it’s been hot, like it was in my childhood . In the 1960s I wrote a poem referring to a sad situation as “The hot, humid life of an August and the loss of a dear friend.” I’ve lived on this peninsula most of my 74 years and had one critical event, last year’s F2 tornado that put 3 trees and huge hail through my roof. There was no prediction of rain, storms and certainly no tornadoes. It twisted my 45 year old red maple apart at about 4 feet up the huge trunk. You do such a wonderful job of explaining wind patterns and highs dropping creating turbulence. It is better to be aware and not experience the possible hazard than it is to be totally off guard

These areas are not a good example for the changing climate. Look at places like the rockys and Denver. They never needed AC. Now you wouldn't be able to live without it, and some aren't even able to own ski lodges anymore. It doesn't stay cold enough long enough. And then Europe has seen far more extreme changes than that.
