@@n0xxm3rcyxx actually they probably couldn't catch him since he's heading south toward NC. There's usually only 2-3 cops/troopers there during the day, they usually leave around the 5-7pm time frame btw, and they usually stay away from the NC side. So since he's heading to the NC side he could easily be out of their sight in a matter of seconds, big heavy cars can't go fast at all on this road due to how sharp most of the curves are. Plus the closest cop from NC are most likely 20-30 mins away in Robbinsville even if they did try to radio for assistance, that's plenty of time to get gone in that area trust me. (edit) I should've watched the entire video first so let me correct what I said. In the first approximately 7 mins of the video he's going south, then he turns around after crossing the NC state line and heads back north away from NC. Heading north he could get caught easier if they radioed a road block, but still plenty of places to disappear before back-up arrives.

Four of my riding friends and I were riding The Dragon about 1:30 Saturday, 9-26-20. We were riding south from TN to Deal’s Gap. We passed five or six TN tropper and sheriff cars with blue light burning and one trooper blocking one lane and another trooper directing us around a tight curve. As we entered the uphill twistie we saw a body laying in the curce and about 20+ bikers on the side of the road. We heard later the rider survived the crash and was taken to an ER. We also learned the crash wasn’t that riders fault. We learned a dumbass crouch rocker rider crossed center line and hit the guy head-on!!!

From Leo: That road was a lot different 30 years ago, before it got written in magazines and before the internet was popular. It was not nearly as well known and there was a LOT less traffic. The last few years it was hard to find a day that it is not a parade route for cruisers and cars, and WAY too many people that end up crossing into your lane. Even the crowds of people that gather to spectate make hazards.

I would love to watch him on a track. I'm sure he'd be extremely competitive. I ride a Harley and while it isn't a liter bike it's not slow in terms of acceleration and I like to have fun on the dragon, but I don't try to push limits. My life is worth more than one single adrenaline fix. Not saying don't have fun, and get your lean on in the corners, for that shit eating grin we all love from riding. @1:02 the cop sitting there with the camping sunshine , table, a radio and I'm sure a mp3 player deciding who gets to pay the man and who doesnt. And I'll tell you this. I got my ass chewed half up Mt. Lemmon in Tucson , Az - and around the end of the ass chewing when the temper of the Sheriff cooled, he got to make his point that stuck with me since. That was 2010.. He did " you can maintain your lane and ride the road" " This cutting through center lines and high speeds are unnecessary, try maintaining your lane and that speed" I tried to understand him, because he was also saying no need to exceed the Speed limit (45) and (35).. but over time and years and plenty miles I've learned to appreciate the ride. Stay in my lane. And if I wanna spice it up, I do so in my lane... And I finally got it, a few years later.. Had that been the same cop sitting there , and me about to pass through. Staying in my lane, maybe a lil spicy but not cutting lines - and staying in the SaME gear ( clear indication of being a asshole cutting thru more gears than u need). - yes, staying in the same gear wether speeding or not, in my own lane... That cop wouldn't of given a fuck. Zero Fucks actually. The fact he patrols and monitors 10000000s of " race cars and bikes " racing up and down that mountain every day, year, weekend, whatever. He's trying to educate, and save lives. Tickets don't do that. Remember this shit I wrote next time you go try to be cool Squid,!! Shiny side up . Stay in your lane

Even when MaxWrist wins against such a great rider people say "this Ducati rider was incredible and great rider with great lines" but they still don't want to give credit where credit is due. If that guy was THAT GREAT that so many people are in his nuts then what does that say about MW who almost rear ended him 3 or 4 times because the Ducati rider slowed down much more than MW and homie had to slam on the brakes to but smash into him from the back. MW is a Beast amongst some of the greatest street riders. Homoe could have posted old boy at least 4 other times of there were no cars coming and if the lanes were wider. That Ducati rider was incredible fluid out of the turns but MW went INTO the turns much much faster. His entry is way better that the other guy ace that's not taking anything at from that guy. But if you're gonna say that guy was fabulous and smooth lines then ME was all that plus 10 percent more. Let's keep it real and give credit where credit is due.

Ryan Brown I’m calling BS on your time. I’ve been and done the Dragon and no way anybody on a cruiser is doing 12 minutes. Or maybe I’m out to lunch. 🍻

@@warrenhumphrey3956 2:48- 3:00 from sign to sign. Been riding the same bike for 14 years, ridden the dragon on it over a dozen times. I race track bikes in my spare time. Just because a cruiser is bigger, doesn't mean you can't ride the wheels off of them. Take it as a "cocky" self compliment, I don't mean it to be. But I'm a damn good rider. 11 miles in 12 minutes isn't an unreasonable time.

If this was NY there'd be tar snakes on every corner killing any attempt to lean like that, pretty amazing job tho, made my nuts retract a bit looking at some of his corners
