If you got your specific trailer, and had it de rated to 9,999 lbs, would you be legally within that weight when hauling your average box to the dump?

Have been thinking about starting this up as a side hustle here in Florida. From your experience would you recommend something stronger than my Sierra 2500 HD? It's rated to pull 18k lbs so i'm not sure how well that would pull with a trailer weighed down with a loaded dumpster.
