I will second that for the RAZR AT811. Just done 2 weeks and just over 3600km round the South Island with plenty of tarmac travel and off road, mud, river bed and gravel road surfaces seen. Very quiet. Even quieter than the cheap brand of HT that were on when I got the truck. Had a great time thanks to these tyres. Skippers canyon was muddy as. Aired down to 20psi and was away happily.

That's awesome! Good punishment for them too covering all the different terrains. Crazy that they're quieter than the HTs eh. I find them quieter than the car tyres on our Kia Sportage on the highway

Fantastic review, very honest and genuine. I've had cooper st-max - crappy wear and poor road grip, bfg at - slippery as on wet roads, toyo open country at2 - great road grip, tough, quiet and no complaints. After much research have ordered the at811 simply because they are slightly more aggressive more than the at2's. Keep up the great work .

@@bengleckl1877 Hi Ben, they give a tiny bit of feedback but I like that, despite that they seem 'cushioned' with larger imperfections. Suspension may have some effect because I use Koni sure trac set at quite a stiff setting which works awesome on corrugated roads....no skipping.

I ran the MT’s on my Ute and the AT 811 on the wagon… I can’t fault them and they are far and away a better tyre than many of the other big name brands. I’ve been using them for 5 years now and won’t change them for any other brand. Arnhemland & the North West Kimberley with 90% being off road driving. Brilliantly designed for Oz conditions.

I am in the process of swapping all the work vehicles onto the Falken Wildpeaks. After running AT's in Summer and MT's in Winter I thought there must be a better option. A Mid range AT's I have found to be perfect. Grip off road and on road for a nice balanced Overland vehicle. You gotta buy a tyre for what you drive, those guys on muds and 20" rims that never leave the pavement are pointless and worse haha
@OverlandNZTV
@OverlandNZTV 3 жыл бұрын
The Falken is similar to the RAZR AT from what I've seen - they're more of a rugged terrain than all terrain - and seem to go well on most surfaces! Ha ha ha - I don't understand the 20" MT look - all of the downsides of an MT without making the most of what they can do - but I guess some people just love the look!

Probably gonna try them in Peru. Currently Running the Maxxis Bravo AT771 but those are more road tires than the Razr AT 811 and while I'm content with the onroad performance, I do want a bit more mud / offroad performance so the switch seems a good option. My tires are ok still, probably gonna keep them for half a year still, but when they done, the RAzr AT811 is currently my first choice for replacing them.

@OverlandNZTV
@OverlandNZTV 2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t run the Wildpeak - but the RAZR has a marginally more aggressive tread pattern, so I’d assume it’s a little louder. Any LT tyre is going to be a lot stiffer than a standard tyre which is worth keeping in mind in terms of comfort I’ve put around 40,000kms on the RAZR now, has gotten a little louder as you’d expect - but they still perform well and do the trick. Will probably be buying another set when it’s time

In terms of on road handling? I came from Duratracs, so they're far better than that. Looking at photos of the G015 they appear to have a less aggressive tread, so are probably better again. On our new car, I swapped a set of HTs off it it and put the RAZRs on - you can feel the difference, it’s less smooth and louder as you’d expect but it drives fine still in my opinion.
