My buddy quit trucking all together less than 2 years ago. He joined railroad for NS, now working for them as a conductor. He was an owner operator since 1985. He misses the scenery, but I don't think he will ever go back now. Trucking paid his bills for 4 decades... I never thought he would quit it.

I just quit western and I didn’t even make it 2 weeks in with my trainer lol. Had a riitard that dragged a flat trailer tire across five states and had me lie on my pre trip about it. He never put in a work order. Then every time I was stuck in traffic he’d put me in sleeper mode while I was driving. Figured I had to get away before I got into an accident or trouble over this fool. I’d like to put in a negative review on him to save other drivers but I don’t think the company gives a shiit
