May 16th Houston Storm aftermath

Seeing all the old trees down is really rough, but knowing how so many people are going to be struggling to repair the damage is just awful.
Over 200,000 homes and business still don't have power and it's getting really hot here. Our power came back the second day thanks to the local heroic efforts by all of the tree crews and line workers. Praying for a fast return to normalcy for all affected.

OMG, that's nuts! I was flying back from a week working in Paris when I got the news. I have absolutely no clue how it happened, but nothing on my balcony was lost or even moved -- I'm in 3rd ward. I had power as well, but I don't have water.
