Amazing aircraft. The commitment of everyone that is working to keep this bird running is inspirational.

Oh how I’d love to see it fly again, great to see it being kept alive and just down the road too, great work and true passion.

Greetings from North Carolina, USA. Thank you for all that you are doing to keep this amazing bird running. I can only imagine the hours/money required to keep her howling! Great job! Cheers, Josh

Looks better than when I worked on her in service. Feels like yesterday.

Awesome! Growing up on RAF stations I took it for granted watching these jets flying around. Much respect to the team that makes this happen I know it take s a lot of effort to keep the big bird in shape. 🙂

I saw the prototype fly way back at the SBAC show and saw XH558 flying 5 times in her last year. Great to watch this video from begining to end. What can you say beyond WOW. Thank you so much.

Enjoyed as instructed 😁 From seeing these fly as a kid to supporting XH558 with a fly in using our R44 for Pete Rigby's Coventry re-opening Help for Heroes event for I've 'followed their journey'.

No

I once watched one of these beasts taking off at an airshow. The word 'loud' doesn't do the experience justice. It basically rips the air apart.

I remember as a kid driving past Scampton , up the Lincoln Ramper , and watching seven or eight of these aircraft take off on after the other .. must have been something like 60 years ago maybe.

She sounds good. Hopefully a test flight is next. I believe HRH Charles flew one of these 50 years ago.

I know it cost a lot of money too keep these beautiful airplanes up there in the sky but why can’t we have these planes flying again
@TenDegrees6 ай бұрын
I second this inquiry! Is it a parts availability issue or is there just no desire there in the UK to keep one flying? Would be cool to have one last flying copy making the airshow circuits. I have the same wish for our native F-14 tomcat here in the states. Should have NEVER sold them to Iran otherwise we would still have a few flying.
@HughShower6 ай бұрын
It’s multiple issues including parts, qualified mechanics and pilots, money! but there might well be an airframe lifespan issue where vast numbers of components, namely wing spars, would have to be replaced.

Not flying anymore, left out in the open at disused Robin Hood airport rotting sadly, not even engine run ups :-( such a waste
@davidweston91156 ай бұрын
What a waste. Almost like a personal Concorde for you and your buddies. A private citizen should buy one and use it. Travolta or Tate or somebody.
@brian.79666 ай бұрын
I heard they spent £10,000 on fuel, what a waste of money. its about time they sent it for scrap.

You’re wasting oxygen and electricity posts your comments, so maybe we should scrap you. 🙄
