Hi Janey. I’m glad that Jason has joined the team. It’s nice to see a wife and husband working together with a common goal. You will thrive if you both view it as a partnership. I love watching your property develop into an oasis.

Hey Janey... a suggestion for around the Vego beds. They're on concrete, so a great base. I would put a brick boarder around the entire concrete area. For now you could loose lay if funds are tight, but eventually cement to the concrete and fill the interior with a beautiful pea gravel. That way water can still find its way to the drain through the gravel. Or... if you can... I hear there is a tall version of your rusty edging, you could use that surrounding the cement and once again fill with pea gravel. Love your channel even though we're in very different zones and climates. ✋️Greetings from Southwestern Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 (Zone 6B)

Ok-that shade area is perfect for a beautiful mural painted along the full length of the house, in calming color tones and maybe a nature woodsy theme with fairies, nymphs and all the things!! 🧚🏼♀️🍄🟫✨🦋🌙🐸🌿It would tone down the brightness of the wall color, tie into the plantings, and create a cozy little room even more so than now! Just having fun imagining the space! It’s going to be great fun for you guys no matter what you do there!! 👩🏼🌾

That fairy garden is the BOMB! I just LOVE it! Ooooof, you're going to need some hanging fans in the chicken run if you don't want roasted chickens! I think a patch of Kentucky Bluegrass lawn the length of your deck, 5 feet deep would soften your back yard. Everything looks beautiful! I love watching all of your progress 💚. For your Vego garden bed area, I would suggest edging around the concrete perimeter (with brick or stone border?) and filling in the area with the same pea gravel that you have in your greenhouse (mesh or landscape fabric over the drain to avoid clogging). And maybe incorporate some of the same stepping stones in the diamond pattern like you have in the greenhouse and front entrance of the house. This would aesthetically tie in that recurring theme and add a touch of romance to this space!

My mother has a vinyl porch windows that are magnets for pine pollen… I use a VERY light mix of Murthy’s oil soap in a bucket of water to gently clean it with a micro cloth. I use a second bucket of water (and another micro cloth) to rinse the pane (changing the water rinse frequently), and then polish with another clean, dry microfiber cloth. It sounds complicated but works well once you start. I keep about a dozen of the microfiber clothes on hand for this. It may be my imagination, but I also feel that this particular soap actually repels further dirt/pollen build up…. The directions for the vinyl windows advised to choose your soap carefully to avoid scratching the vinyl panes…

Hi Janey - where the Vego beds are staining the concreted area, have you considered putting down pea gravel or something similar to cover the paved area? It would look natural, cover the staining/cracks, and still provide drainage of water. Just a thought! Everything is looking so beautiful!
