Hi Mark good to see another vlog and a fish from tithe top, first time I meet you up there it wasn’t so good. I blanked a month ago but nice to see a small common.

Hi Martyn thanks for the nice comment mate, appreciate it. Hope you're both well. That's a shame about the blank but it will make it all the more rewarding when you finally get one out. 🙌

Nice video. I'm looking at joing the club. What size do they go to in here please?
@mikesparksangler2 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, the club isn't bad at all. In this particular lake they go to mid 30s but other lakes on the ticket have them to mid 40s. There are also many mixed waters for pleasure angling.

Hi mate I'm on the same club never fished this lake. Any tips bud at all? Also what's the bottom like etc Any help would be appreciated

Hi mate, it's a great water to fish, not the easiest lake so don't feel disheartened if you blank a few times but I would say don't go too heavy with the bait, just fish for a bite. The lake is roughly 9ft deep most of the year and it slopes up slightly towards the opposite end, so this time of year the margins do very well. The marginal shelf slopes down for about a rod length out from each peg, so use a lead that won't roll down the shelf and fish a few feet out to one of the features that each peg holds and you'll do well. I will be shooting more videos up there this year so keep an eye out and I'll include everything I do to catch them. Mike.

@@mikesparksangler also mate what is the lake bed like? Would a leadclip system be ok
@mikesparksangler3 жыл бұрын
@@chrisdu-val5712 it's mostly fairly solid silt/ clay with the odd patches of low lying weed and patches of Canadian. But yes mate a lead clip is always my first option for any lake bed other than deep silt. Just adjust your rig length depending on the spot. Definitely worth having a lead around where ever you go though just to make sure. Mike
