Welcome back to our cottage garden. We thought we would make a cottage garden diary series where we keep you updated on what we've been working on in and outside of the garden. It's been quite a busy month and there's lots in flower at the moment. We hope you enjoy the video.

I love the new content too. Its nice to see some vlogs from you. Gosh it looks really painful, not sure I'd be that brave. You're skin was already great before the treatment tbh, but the result is great! A before/after in another video? Have a great sunday ☀️

I am trying to guess the names of the flowers before you say them! Beautiful landscape, calming, easy on the eye. Gardens are so well done, thank you for sharing them.

The garden is looking splendid. So lush. Those 20 degree blue sky days must be great for all the various pollinating insects as well.

Looks like a dream now! Those lights will look amazing. Are you going to run lights all the way up to the back and do a night video??????

Thank you so much 😊 we’re leaving the orchard dark for the wildlife but hopefully will get some more lights closer to the house too. A night walk video is a great idea!

Absolutely love your videos, your garden is beautiful! Would you mind if I use a screenshot from your video to paint your ducks in front of the white gate? I think it would make a lovely watercolour painting 😊

Your garden is coming to life and looking beautiful with your Iris'sesess.ess doing well. It's a bitter sweet emotion when keeping ducks because they are both lovely and vulnerable. My front garden is zinging this year with forget-me-nots and Geums and Foxgloves.

Thank you so much. That is true, I do always worry about the ducks when I go to check on them especially because there are so many wild predators. Your front garden sounds beautiful, enjoy those flowers 💕

1:12 The aurora borealis is absolutely unreal. Here in Ohio it has been 30+ years. 15 years ago I was so "smitten" with English bluebells in England that I painted an oil on wood of a hummingbird which i painted on 23 karat gold leaf so that the metallic glint would shine through, as it hivered in front of a few stalks of bluebells. I still have the oval shaped painting. That yellow hellebore to your right is amazing, it looks artificial, and so large! It actually has a child's fairytale illustration look about it. 8:10 The runner ducks really are comical, and their moving about adds interest and animation to the scene. 11:50 Yes, I have been gardening for 50 years, many years went by before i ceased to let things happen, but instead make things happen, premeditatedly. One of those matters that I finally made happen was to plant very late blooming flowers such as Fuji mums and other chrysanthemums, they bloom so late, that i must bring them into the cold room for winter and their blossoms hang on until March, quite amazing! 12:06 Also it is best to inject energy into your LOCAL growers, financially helping to sustain them by buying local, it is improving your own community. The plants that I grow are not grwon locally, so..... All so pleasant to see, thank you for your show and tell. Sharing ideas helps to improve our gardens.

So sorry to hear about your lovely duck, so sad. Your garden is looking stunning. The iris in my cottage garden are normally incredible but the slugs have been climbing up the stems and chewing it just under the flowers so the flowers then snap off
