May Frances Appreciation Post | White Wedlocke 27

Hey guys!! I got married to the love of my life on May 28, 2022!! So in honor of that, we're doing a Wedlocke! Wedlockes are extremely confusing, so I will be going over rules throughout the series but I've also included additional written rules here in the description!

Nuzlocke Rules:
1-If a Pokémon faints, it is considered dead and must be either put in the box or released.
2-You can only catch the first Pokémon in a route/area.
3-You must nickname all Pokémon.
4-WIN.
Wedlocke Bonus Rules:
1-Only Gendered Pokémon can be caught. That includes Legendaries and Statics. I am allowing myself Tokens for Static Pokémon as well as for any Legendary that is not a random route encounter. (Example: The roaming Latias in Sapphire randomizes into a Mewtwo, which is genderless. I will then give myself a Legendary Token meaning that the next Legendary I encounter can be caught as long as it abides by the gender rule. But I have to catch the Mewtwo AND the Token. If either fail, I fail the encounter).
2-Pokémon can only be paired with a member of the opposite gender. (Example: Male Patrat is teamed with Female Tepig). If a Pokémon does not have a partner, it is considered a "Lone Wolf" and must be paired as soon as possible.
----When encountering Pokémon, if you have a Lone Wolf on your team, you MUST encounter a Pokémon of the OPPOSITE gender. (Example: I have a Lone Wolf Male Patrat. I must REENCOUNTER until I get a female encounter).
3-Only the "Active Pair" (the pair up first) may be used in battle and can only switch between each other. YOU CANNOT SWAP BETWEEN TEAMS DURING BATTLE. Exceptions include moves like "Whirlwind" that swap Pokémon uncontrollably. If that happens, the new team is considered the Active Pair. (Example: Patrat and Tepig can only switch between each other and cannot swap to a Panpour from another pair).
4-Unlike a SoulLink, if one member of the pair dies to Nuzlocke rules, the other is NOT dead. However, they must either fight to the death or win the match. If they win, they are considered a Lone Wolf and must be paired as soon as possible.
5-If a member of a pair dies and a Lone Wolf on the team is the same gender as the dead Pokémon (meaning both were males or both females), then pair the Lone Wolf and the remaining member of the pair to create a new pair. (Example: Male Patrat of the Patrat/Tepig team dies. And there's a Male Panpour on the team. Male Panpour and Female Tepig are now paired). If the remaining Pokémon and the Lone Wolf are the SAME Gender, they are both considered to be Lone Wolves and must be paired as soon as possible. (This can only be allowed if there is only ONE pair on the team).
6-You must only use the pairs on your team and cannot be put in the PC. (Exceptions include picking up static Pokémon like Fossils). The only way to break up a pair is by either releasing the pair or death.
7-Any "extra" Pokémon (meaning Pokémon in the PC) are not paired and will be paired only if added to the team if there are open slots.
