Oh my goodness! What a change - so lush. The roses look so healthy! Flowers everywhere! I have only a small grass area in the forest garden and I’m leaving it to grow. Thanks for the marvellous May tour.🐇

The weather is ideal for growing at the moment. It`s warm and sunny but the ground is still wet from the winter and we have had some more rain. Everything is just loving it. Makes up for the months of miserable weather we`ve jus been through. I`m glad you enjoyed the tour. Thanks for watching.

After finding your channel and seeing your beautiful garden you have inspired me to plant more native plants. I only have a small gravel garden but I'm planting in pots and through the gravel. It has already attracted so many more bees and insects into my garden.
@mywildwelshgarden-es3fr4 ай бұрын
That`s great to hear. I think a lot of natives will grow well in gravel and in pots. I`m so pleased your garden is attracting more insects. It just shows what a difference we could make if we all did this. Thanks for sharing x

Looking lovely. As the native plants grow it'll be interesting to see what insects you attract to munch on them.
@mywildwelshgarden-es3fr4 ай бұрын
Thanks Tracy. Fingers crossed the insects will find them.

Some so called experts talk rubbish. Just leaving a corner if that's all you can manage, can make a huge difference. I love your garden 🐞🐝🐛🦋🕷️🌹

How about mowing a path to the summerhouse and chair and perhaps around the edge to frame the meadow. That way you get a mixture of habitats. Thank you for your videos, like them very much.😊

Garden is looking beautiful Isabel ❤. Have you tried google view to see if it can identify flowers I use it a lot it’s mostly 🤭🤭 correct. I love grannies bonnet or we call them columbine. Such an amazing variety of plants. Glad you have some wonderful sunshine. Have a super weekend, Ali 🌞🇨🇦
@mywildwelshgarden-es3fr4 ай бұрын
Hi Ali, yes we call them columbine as well. I do use google and I have an app on my phone. And I have an old fashioned book with a key. I`m enjoying the sunshine. Hope you are too.

Hi Isabel, yes Joel Ashton is now saying nomowsummer due to destruction of species that come in May. I suppose a mown path thru to your summerhouse and leave the rest. We have just received our first frost warning here in south east Victoria.🇦🇺

Your garden is looking amazing, you are doing a wonderful job of wilding your garden. I am sure the wildlife will be thanking you for it. Thanks for sharing with us. Take care and stay safe. Hi I’m new to the channel and I have the geranium you mention (7:08) in my garden. Does anyone know what it is called? I really wonder! Thank you for sharing your garden with us! You have a lovely space. We have left some areas in our garden wild and we have some hedgehogs move in as well. We also have black redstarts nesting, as well as lizards and snakes! And a whole colony of wild bees. It is really so much fun to have a garden full of life! And so much more interesting than „tidy“ gardens! Happy gardening from Switzerland 🇨🇭
@mywildwelshgarden-es3fr4 ай бұрын
Hi and welcome to my channel. Thanks for joining me. You`re garden sounds amazing. I think you have more wildlife in Switzerland than we have in Wales. Restarts are very rare. Lizards and snakes - not so much but you hardly ever see them. I`m so glad you think that wild gardens are so much more interesting. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for the tour! Do you have snakes there,?, ticks, chiggers? Oh, I would be afraid to not mow my yard....
@lm97534 ай бұрын
Me, too. Way to many rattle snakes. Where are you? I'm in the Sierra Nevada, NorCal USA.
@mywildwelshgarden-es3fr4 ай бұрын
Gosh, I can`t imagine being afraid of any wildlife. There is only one poisonous snake in the UK, the Adder, and it is very rare. I`ve only ever seen one once, about 50 years ago! We have grass snakes, but I have never seen one. I would love to have them in my garden. We do have ticks but they are not a problem. I had a cat that picked up a tick once, but I`ve never had one. The UK really is very nature depleted!! I`m glad you liked the tour.

@@mywildwelshgarden-es3fr Im in the mountains and my front yard is a game trail. Bears, mountain lions, bob cats....it's really fun! The wild turkey's are hysterical!
@mywildwelshgarden-es3fr4 ай бұрын
That sounds amazing! All species like bears and wildcats have been extinct in the UK for hundreds of years. There`s talk of reintroducing wolves and lynxes but it`s only talk. Some people are trying to reintroduce beavers and wild boar, to help with rewilding but there is a lot of opposition.

Oh my,here in the Ozarks,farneres are battling wild hogs,so destructive. I am glad to welcome critters here...but when your chickens are all killed by raccoons,steps must be taken.

Do you mean about the planning permission? I`m not sure. Nothing at the moment. The council website says still pending.
