Hi Rachel! You seem to be in very good spirits lately, and it's an absolute delight to see. Must be that it's spring time and the sun is coming back and the garden is bursting with life! That trigona though, so beautifully stressed from the colder temps! Do you keep your pachypodium out in glass house over winter? I left mine outside virtually all winter except for when we had a hard freeze. It's finally woken up and is in glorious leaf. I was so scared every time we got huge amounts of rain that it would rot away along with all my other outdoor cacti. Always hard to not be a bit emotional over losing a collectible plant.. but you have some of it's babies, so it truly lives on!

Hello there and thank for that great info on Pachypodium. I have overwintered mine in the house until now. Thinking maybe I don't need to.

Hello Rachel, it looks like you have been a very busy gardener during the fall and winter months! Your cold weather greenhouse is my favorite, all of those lovely plants. Wishing you a very Happy Mother's Day (not certain if this is a UK holiday) but no matter, if you celebrate it I hope you enjoy your day!!

Thank you, Wanda. I have been busy but only since March when I came back from holiday. Lots of catching up to do. Thank you for the Mother's Day wishes. I had mine already back in March. I was treated well 😊

I always enjoy the updates of your greenhouses, they always look different, you always have something interesting to show us. I also admire the way you keep them crystal clean and so well organazed. And of course, I love your beautiful permanent residents. Cactus have amazing flowers, they are an increasing passion of mine 😅

Thanks so much, Fernanda. I am not sure about the crystal clean but you do describe how I aim for my greenhouses to be ☺️

Hi Rachel, alway love to see you garden and greenhouse tours, thanks for sharing. Would love to see your cactus in flowers another time. Knowing your interest in orchids, just wondered if you've ever gone looking for our wild orchids. It's the season and I'm sure you'll have some we don't see in England, it's a fun hobby.

Well, I do wish there were more native orchids near me. I spotted some in Kerry (further south) a few years back... kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2jXpISeg6ejf68si=y0nmS0QBbyd92UjV

Hi, I recall Monty Don planted a Magnolia black tulip, then a few years later taking it out because it died. I trust that yours will do better. 😊

oh, I adore Sweet Pea. Not a popular plant in the US these days, sadly. People don't know what a joy they are to smell. Shame you lost the Boophone. Always strange when you have had a plant for that long and it just up and dies and you haven't changed your care. Hopefully you can replace it if you choose.

Yes, strange about the boophone but stranger still that sweet pea aren't adored everywhere.😮

Do cosmos and zinnias self seed for you there ?

Nah, not really. The odd volunteer might pop up the following year but that's all.

Wow looks like so many very interesting things in the last greenhouse, if you showed each plant with a short description it would be a 6 hour video…But fun! 🪴🤗

Haha, yes, probably six hours and me trying to make my videos shorter 😅
