If you travel frequently to Europe, particularly Germany, and grab a taxi, chances are you'll be stepping into a Mercedes E-Class. The E-Class is favored for its comfort, reliability, and spacious interior, making it ideal for long rides and urban traffic. However, you won’t find car reviewers stepping into a Mercedes E-Class outside of Germany and praising it as a great taxi car. But if a well-built car is used as a taxi in China, particularly in Guangzhou, and then reviewed outside China as a passenger car, it might be seen as a taxi trying to position itself as a higher-end passenger car. Doesn't it implies that there may be a double standard in the way the car is perceived depending on where it's used. In the first case, the Mercedes E-Class is recognized for its merits as a taxi in Germany, without any special attention given to it being a taxi. However, when a well-built car used as a taxi in China (like in Guangzhou) is reviewed outside China as a passenger car, it might be unfairly seen as trying to "move up" in class, as if it's trying to present itself as a luxury vehicle rather than a taxi. This contrast suggests an inconsistency in how cars are evaluated based on their regional use, which could be viewed as a double standard.

Guys just to point out to you the coincidence this model being put as priority to be brought into the market by TC.. While a particular ride hailing service is about to launch an EV/environment friendly drive service

I saw this car at KLIMS this weekend, the interior space in the rear is quite large, lots of legroom. I saw a Chinese review of it last year that mentioned it was built for DiDi and lost out to another brand, so they made some changes and decided to sell it as a passenger car, rather than a ride hailing vehicle. It seems like a pretty good car for Grab drivers to take people around the city, the trunk isn't large but, the floor can be re-positioned lower to provide a bit more space, for some airport trips.
