I really enjoyed Where the Dark Stands Still! I think the Howls Moving Castle vibes come from the sentient house plus a few other little things. It was cozy (kinda) with gothic vibes to me. Plus who doesn’t love a stand-alone. I didn’t love The Witchwood Knot as much as Half a Soul, but it was still a good time. I keep a book journal where I recap how my overall month is, not just reading, and then write about my top 2-4 books. I usually have like a weekly TBR since I’m such a mood reader. 😅

Anne of Green Gables is definitely a great spring/summer read; so if you ever have a sunny day that you want to read outside and you want a whimsical read? Pick that one. I've been interested in A Fate Inked in Blood, but I've heard so much about the romance and not enough about actual plot or world-building, so I'm going to wait until I can get it on Libby. Also, congrats on almost finishing your second grad school term! I did my masters in ESL and I remember how tiring it was for me, so I can only imagine how hard you work in STEM. So, good work!

I set up my planner spread as a reset. I use a traditional planner but I still pcik my color scheme, add stickers, and create my running book list on the side for books I'm reading

i tried reading city of brass a few years ago and couldnt finish it 😖 the setting and mythology were so cool but i just couldnt get into it (and i was listening to the audiobook). but so many people love it so maybe it was just not for me idk! also, u say ur not artistic but that is a LIE!!!!! u are a very creative and artistic person just for doing what u do, and that spread looked absolutely lovely! 🩷🍊🎟️🌠

With my monthly reset I do an update with my 24 books in 2024, update my book tracker shelves of what I read during the month, and do my monthly wrap up of which books I enjoyed. Last month I had all four stars except 1 book that I finished the second day of May that was a three star. This month I am still debating what to read cause I am looking at my tbr and I am slowly shrinking it down more to encourage myself to finish and read The Poppy War and The Final Empire this month.
