I think he's muting it with his right arm, above the bridge pickup.

if you look closely he uses his left thumb to mute the E string whenever he can't use his right-hand palm! The dude is a maestro :p

With a shitty 3 bolt neck, but the aftermarket preamp steps up to the challenge. I guess a 75 jazz is the only bass I would bastardize to install that preamp. by the way, posting was impeccable. Loved the intervals, as the spacing between the notes is as important as the notes themselves. He reeks with confidence. Totally enjoyed, thank you for posting!
