Ooh so many good reads! The Dead Dead Girls and Vicious Games sound really good! Vampires Never Die is a good anthology. I teach a couple of the stories in my literature courses. Currently reading She and Her Cat: Stories by Makoto Shinkai. Happy Anniversary and Happy Vacation!💛

I'm currently reading more than one book, but... but I started tonight the next in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series because I am trash for J.R. Ward. Her books are my candy & I have no shame! Vampires, romance... yes yes.

@BooksWithBonnie I recommend publication order, 1st Dark Lover ... there are side series you don't have to read to enjoy the main BDB, but can enhance the ride. I love it when Ward drops little Easter eggs, like a character noticing a light in a cabin in the distance... or a Brother just happens to walk by with a distinctive physical trait... little hints of things going on in the background with my favorite vampire family. I love that kind of thing. I feel about Ward the way others feel being trash for Maas If you choose to hop on the ride, I'm here for you!

Bones of Ruin was amazing. I'm so glad you're reading it! Wilder Girls was... weird. That's all I'm gonna say. I feel the same way you do about Carrie; the book was much more horror than the movie. Have you read The Weight of Blood by Tiffany D Jackson? It's also a Carrie retelling and it's great.
