May Un Mar Language - The Dialect of the Potteries is the first feature length documentary created by Inspired Film and Video.
Filmed in 2009 it explores the unique dialect that comes from Stoke-on-Trent and grew up in the pot banks, coal mines and other heavy industry of the city.
Interviewing those who grew up with 'Potteries Dialect' and those who keep it alive to this day it is a window into this unique world of language.
If you don't know the meaning of:
"Cos kick a bo agen a wo an yed it till it bosts"
you will by the end of this film.

I'm Potteries born and bred. The lady quite clearly says at 3:17 : 'this Barolo is questionable, may I see the sommelier?'

Love to hear this but in future, please lower or ditch the music which is too overpowering. Thanks anyway. Malcolm now in Aberdeen!
