Glad to see even you struggle with explaining particles and their funkyness! I'm teaching a 11 week course on them right now, and I've never felt more powerless as an instructor! haha so many merp....that didn't do what I thought it would moments. A strong for-warning is needed "Things may not go as expected"

Awesome. Thanks for the tutorial and thanks for not going too fast. My professor is awful at teaching how to use Maya. Glad I got somewhere to turn too when I get lost.

This was helpful for creating "energy" that gets sucked into a black hole.

That's interesting because I never really considered that when creating this tutorial. Very Good Idea! Thanks for the insight. All the Best my Friend!

@LiVinGxBlaD3 Yes and no. For that type of reaction you may need 3 to4 separate particle effects that need to be controlled, the blood could be a fluid effect (blobby/surface) and fluids=$rendertime, the nCloth surface needs to be filled from the inside and assigned a "tearable surface" and the event editor would come into play to help the outer particles to die off as the bloody stuff becomes visible. But, anythings possible with Maya and a lot of rendertime. Hope that helps!

@IWTBFOY Thanks for the nice words! I teach through You-Tube because there are people all over the world who do not have a formal educational outlet that offers CG courses or training. And in many places people cannot afford to go to school. And, I don't play video games so I use that time to teach and learn stuff myself. I'm a graphic artist and someday I will produce my own feature length movies using Maya. This stuff isn't easy so stay dedicated and never give up!

@jay1111882 Maya runs the same on both the Mac and Windows....some of the commands are a little different but you can look thos up in the help section. I don't have a skype account and I don't do facebook or social networking because I don't have the time. For the most part try and troubleshoot stuff as you go along because you will always have to think things through when working with Maya. Maya loves troubleshooters! All the best to you!

sick man. Is it hard to make a separate fluid, say blood, float from the fallen object(the ncloth you created)?

@deepfriedectoplasm -- Thanks very much... May God richly bless u. I really appreciate what u are doing for those of us who want to learn Maya but yet don't have money to go to school. I'm a beginner and would want to learn more from u. But, please do u only use MAC machines? Because i'm using windows now, thats what i was able to afford. And do u have a web site OR Are u on skype where i can reach u sometimes?
