Hi Ian, finally upgraded to 2017 and loving it. Question please if I may - When using the MASH blend deformer do both the orig mesh and the blend have to have the same poly count to work? - much like a standard blend shape?

Yes it's very like the standard blend shape. You can sometimes use the ShrinkWrap deformer to conform meshes of differing poly counts and then blend those together.
