@paolotorres85372 жыл бұрын
Yes, but she’s not to blame for everyone being bigoted against people who two dads. What she is at fault for is making a big show of people’s business for her personal enjoyment. At the end of the day, what Maya and KG went through is the reality people with two dads face. Dijonay or no Dijonay, the whole school would’ve found out one way or another.
@xavierandrews57742 жыл бұрын
@@paolotorres8537 they only knew because Dijonay was tweeting about them which it is her fault and should have kept her mouth shut about it like Penny said but Dijonay wanted to be hardheaded and gossip about them just like LaCienega spread those lies about Penny and Myron kissing in the closet and Dijonay aired it out to the school
@paolotorres85372 жыл бұрын
@@xavierandrews5774 Ah but it’s not a rumor if it’s true, and that makes it worse. You’ve heard the saying “A truth told with bad intent beats all the lies you can invent”. That being said, nothing changes the fact that the whole school was bigoted, and if they found out some other way besides Dijonay, the result would’ve still been the same regardless. I can think of plenty of easy, inevitable ways the school would’ve found out. Like for example, it’s unavoidable that at some point, both Barry and Randall would have to visit the school to pick up Maya and KG. Surely, that would’ve been seen by everyone, and they’d still end up harassing them. I’m just saying, Dijonay’s outing the dads had no bearing over the students and parents’ prejudices. It would be more accurate to say that Dijonay stirred up a hornets nest by telling a truth with bad INTENT, as in, she KNEW the students would go after the siblings for her amusement.

Now this is a valid way to represent the lgbtq community to kids. There are some kids who have same sex parents so it does need to be talked about so they’re not commenting/gossiping about these kids that are in their school but I don’t agree with pushing lessons on lesbianism/gay/gender fluid stuff on 4th graders in school as a lesson.

Not sure why people are saying that Dijonay not receiving any consequences is a "bad thing" about this episode. Nah, thats realistic. In real life, school bullies rarely get what's coming to them. They get a tap on the wrist from the teacher or principal and then are told "not to do it" again. Just like Dijonay got a tap on the wrist from her friends. A lot of ya'll just wanted the disney ending. I get it's a disney show, but people don't always change the way we want them to.

This cartoon is one of the best I saw recently. It doesn’t include lgbt themes just for queerbating ( We all know that useless character who is lgbt just for "representation" and is easily erased when it come to China) It’s including it to really talk about that topic. The lgbt characters aren’t here just to decorate. And it talk not only about the discrimination theses people can get but their families too. Just like this episode.

this plot point honestly kinda confused me, since no one is hassling michael. He seems to beam confidence so why is this such a shock for dejonay to even tweet about it?
@jeremiahborders29592 жыл бұрын
Okay I'm keep this short to save us alot of time. The reason why the plot was very confusing for you to understand is because the plot wasn't about Mya or Kyl, the two dads, or the bullying. The plot of this episode was about penny proud and what was her thoughts of two dad families.This whole reboot is all about penny and about what the show writer feel on the topic. That's why if you re watch the seen with the gross sister, you'll see that the only one thar is out of place is penny.This show isn't nothing more than moesha 2.0 ft the cast of the proud family. The only reason why they even had dejonay post the tweet is to set this story into motion because it wouldn't had made any other sense for a background character to do it. Cuz it take time away from penny and how she felt about it..sorry I wanted to keep it short. 💯

I'm glad they showed the boy standing up to the bully.
