Excellent writer, totally without bitterness of being black--an incredible feat! Beautiful poetry, a windswept persona, a sigh of relief in a world of angst. I love her, I love her writing. Maya Angelou is about peace and everyone accepting and RESPECTING each other for who they are. However, mostly what I read on these blogs are hate and fighting. Grow-up and wake-up, people! When you fight with each other and hate, all you do is give the "hate" energy and the "powers-that-be" more power. Take your power back, get along and accept each other for who you are, like Maya promotes.

I remember seeing her first on Johnny Carson when I was a kid & being very impressed by her. Always liked her poetry & the way she expressed herself in general.
