As the first African-American woman to have a non-fiction best-seller, "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings," Maya Angelou inspired countless people with her words of wisdom. Watch the Mini Bio of the famous poet to commemorate her birthday!

Thank you and God bless. RIP Teacher. Thanks for the upload, biography. Blessings

Excellent writer, totally without bitterness of being black--an incredible feat! Beautiful poetry, a windswept persona, a sigh of relief in a world of angst. I love her, I love her writing. When she speaks, I listen carefully. I am white and she makes me not sorry for it. She is the next step up in our evolution as human beings. May God bless her always.
@ayemaya7515 жыл бұрын
Maya Angelou is about peace and everyone accepting and RESPECTING each other for who they are. However, mostly what I read on these blogs are hate and fighting. Grow-up and wake-up, people! When you fight with each other and hate, all you do is give the "hate" energy and the "powers-that-be" more power. Take your power back, get along and accept each other for who you are, like Maya promotes.

Obama is the greatest beneficiary of affirmative-action/Oprah's influence, but this lady is a close second. Can you believe her drivel is more highly rated on many popular poetry sites, than Shelly or Shakespeare's work.
