Oh my goodness, the book ‘facing mount Kenya’ that the teacher mentioned has my great grandmother as the lady on the cover. Moreover, I’m Kikuyu as as Maya mentions in the beginning! So cool to hear about my people

I came here looking for the list of books Dr. Angelou recommended. By the time I found a pen, I only got one: Basil Davidson, "The Lost Histories of Africa" Hoping I can find the others.
