nice! how do you cycle from a point A to a point B instead of being infinite?
@LEARNCGIwithYawyee3 жыл бұрын
you mean progressive walk cycle can simply use the circle controller at the bottom , set keys moving from point a to b , it will move the whole character. but have to check and time the distance properly by measuring it , and turn the curve tangent to linear , or else it will become controlling game character sliding / gliding through ice.

@LEARNCGIwithYawyee3 жыл бұрын
Hi there , thanks for reaching out. Usually regarding speed it will be the playback speed that set to play everyframe by mistake. But since you have set to 24 , it should be correct. Would you mind email me the file in ma format, so i can help you to check. learn.with.yy@gmail.com

Sorry for bad eng. What a great tutorial for beginners like me, but I have some problems. I don't know why but when I put keyframes for the animation, Maya doesn't want to automatically create the "in-between" on it. So it's like giving a laggy effect, maybe there is some mistakes in the settings?. I would be very grateful if someone gave me a solution for it🙏
@LEARNCGIwithYawyee3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your suppport. Regarding ur problems , could it possibly be stepped tangent ? Can right click at ur timeline and check if the stepped tangent is turned off. Enable stepped tangent will preview the so called laggy effect.
@samuelsaksono94143 жыл бұрын
@@LEARNCGIwithYawyee Thank you for the reply, but after I changed from stepped to another tangent, only the left foot had the in between and that was only from frame 1 to 13, the rest was still the same. By the way, what is the default tangent? I've also tried setting it from the animation preferences which is next to "auto keyframe toggle" button, but there was still something wrong with it. Sorry to bother, you don't need to be forced to answer it :)
@LEARNCGIwithYawyee3 жыл бұрын
@@samuelsaksono9414 you should turn off stepped and turn on real time preview. Sorry that my comment that confuses you. What i initially meant was , check if stepped is on , if it is . That could be the reason it looks jagged because stepped only read the frame it is keyed. Which also means you should turn off if that is the reason causing the "lag" u mean.
@samuelsaksono94143 жыл бұрын
@@LEARNCGIwithYawyee Owhh sorry, ya i just realized that. yes it's already turned off, but there is still wrong. Is it possible if the problem is with the graph editor?
@LEARNCGIwithYawyee3 жыл бұрын
@@samuelsaksono9414 Do check also if it is playing real time , by right clicking the timeline. Sometimes if play too fast , pc speed cant catch up and it will also shows the lag problem. After turn it on , and right click on timeline to do a playblast , it captures your animation into a video clip , that will shows you the real speed , then you can check that video , if it plays smoothly , then it means your animation have no problem , it is just the playback setting in real time or hardware accelerate problem. If the video you created shows the animation is laggy , yeah , then you might have to into curve editor to fix it.
