When you hang tiles, be careful not to get the glue too thick, as it will dry out too quickly. The best is to distribute a thin layer on both the wall and the backside of the tiles, as it gives you a little more adjustment, as well as a stronger attachment. Spray a little water on the wall and the tiles before putting the glue on, also for it not to dry up too quickly. Finally, you attach the whole tiles first, and then in the end you cut and attach the smaller pieces. That gives you a lot less measurements to do. The grout must also be nice and soft to work with, in order to get it into all little crannies, and prevent small air holes when it dries up. Especially if you're tiling a bathroom, you leave all the corners, tops and bottoms without grout, and put silicone in them instead. This will give the walls some flexibility and prevent cracks... Good luck... 😊

You are such a power house! I am so amazed at what you have accomplished. You are an awesome woman. I 😅 love watching your dance and so happy for you. My daughter was going to Spain and while she was planning her trip; I told her that I would like to be able to visit PORTUGAL! She asked me why. Without thinking, I said that I have "friends" there! I really feel close to all the people (videos) that I watch religiously and will not miss an episode. I am a 77 year old female and so impressed with what you and others create and the hard work you put into creating.

When you are cutting tile or pouring dry cement products to mix, you should wear a dust mask to protect your lungs. The damage this dust does is cumulative and does not go away. It can be worse than smoking tobacco long term.

Running a dehumidifier during the daylight hours is a good idea. I would like to suggest moving it out of the corner of the room so it can circulate air more effectively 👍 Are you considering salvaging and repurposing as many concrete balusters and newel posts as possible? They are very funky in a chi-chi way. Cleaned up and painted the right color, I think they would be great! I'm looking forward to seeing your choice of ceiling cladding 😊 Thank you Maya

Were the original builders Basque? I have seen that the row houses with shared walls are common in a lot of Basque architecture. The property is beautiful and your renovation can be called inspirational. You and the countryside seem to share a spirit. ♥️

Great job Maya. Because you may have a few to do in the future, a suggestion for cutting your tiles to fit a stone wall is to use either a compass or bolt washer and a pencil. If using a washer, put the pencil in the centre and push it up along the rock edge and the pencil will trace the same pattern onto the tiles. There are probably videos on KZbin explaining it better than I did. Wish you all the best for future work and its great to follow along 😊
