Because its an international language i guess 🤔 everyone studies or has studied english in class. And, at least where i studied, teachers were always saying how important is to know english. But i can see that in France it isn't that big of a deal🤔 which is not bad of course but interesting 🤣
@celiaj24843 жыл бұрын
@@therealmethatyoudontknow I agree, we learn it at school too but I think the whole mindset of expecting people to be able to communicate in a language than is not an official language of the country they live in (especially without doing prior research) is anglocentric and kinda naive. To explain more about why people dont like to speak english in France, our education system, for sure is teaching too many stuff in my opinion, but not to be comfortable with making mistakes. when we learn a language in class we are afraid to make mistakes out loud. so we try not to speak too much in another language. Moreover, people can make fun of you (yeah i swear its true) if you try to imitate the american or british accent and can see you as being snob or arrogant in the worst case. When you grow up, that stupid thing tends to disappear but some people still not evolve from it. So yeah, french language it is hahahahaha GOOD LUCK

Life in France is frustrating even if you have an advanced level in French. On top of that, French companies prioritise natives no matter how excellent your prior professional experiences are. Did my MSc in France and now I am unemployed. Most Indians don't get a job after doing their masters in France
@rh3342 жыл бұрын
@Lassi Chsch For INSEAD you need at least 6-7 years of experience.
@rh3342 жыл бұрын
@Lassi Chsch I would never recommend spending such a huge amount 1 crore for a fancy degree unless you are rich or getting a scholarship. A degree won't guarantee you a job. MBA from IIM is a better choice as it provides campus placement. And if you really want to immigrate to Europe/Canada, try the work visa option, rather than spending millions on a degree. The best option is to try MS/MBA from the USA if you want to earn more money. Salaries in Europe are not high. Also, life in Europe is not as rosy as it seems, if you are earning 10LPA+ in India you are already living a good life.
@rh3342 жыл бұрын
@Lassi Chsch Just don't believe in everything. I graduated from a top university in France, but still no job or internship. Have to return with a huge loan and not getting more than 6 LPA in India. Same case with other Indian students. Only 1 /25 gets a job in France in reality. Also, you will always be considered lower as compared to Europeans. Choose your country wisely. Your safest bet should be the USA, the companies are much more open to hiring international students. Also, the economy is much better compared to Europe. Other options are Singapore, Australia, and Canada.

@@ritviksapra1368 ok great. If I had to give you an advice, pay close attention to the certifications of each diploma, especially when it comes to computer science. The only way to fulfill an engineering degree is to attend a school which has been accredited by the CTI. This organisation rules the issue of engineering diplomas in France, as some schools such as EPITECH call themselves 'IT colleges' but the diploma they issue isn't recognized by the French government

Hey Mayank!! I am a graduate with Bachelors in english honours and im also learning french currently. My goal is to get B2 level in french in the next 1-2 years. What could be the base on which I can try my luck in France/Paris? I am really clueless as to if I should get a job first here in India, save some money and than think of going to France. Please help me out.

As a strangers you should definitely have some strong kind of diploma (or work experience in a "educated fields", for example if you are a store seller it might be VERY difficult) or be ready to be paid really low (in unrewarding jobs like cleaning employees, etc) compared to the cost of living. Unlike many countries we almost never work in English, except very rare situation. Maybe try to reach an Indian company settled in France before actually coming here ?

Why would someone go to a foreign country and expect people to speak English? U go to China, u gotta learn Mandarin. U go to Arabia or North Africa, Arabic. U go to Russia, u learn Russian. Then why the hell would u expect french people to speak in English with u?

100% agreed - which is why if you're coming to France, don't be surprised if no one wants to speak in English with you!

Hey, love your videos! Wanted insight on the MSc programs. Is finding jobs, visa etc a problem for international students given the short 10 month duration of the program? Or is it treated equally to the MiM from a salary/job perspective?
@cerveauy87822 жыл бұрын
No it's not same as MIM. MIM/PGE are highly competitive programmes & they have a different reputation.

I want to study law in Paris. I am already an EU citizen and am willing to learn French. I plan to stay in Europe and my goal is to start my own firm. I live in the US currently but am from Kurdistan. I get pretty good grades. Should I pursue Sorbonne? I want to get an economics degree first and then go to law school? Is this realistic?
