He was the new age Phife as far as sports references then he kinda chilled on it. He had a lot of fly shit with him in the beginning. 100 miles and running tape sold me on him

“Nittany Lion, my Penn State it, niggas recite it.” WHEWWWWW Wales bars are eternal I swear.

Wale is super underappreciated. This man used Fred Biletnikoff, Olowokandi, and Vlade Divac in one verse along with countless other clever sports references. Not every song needs clever wordplay, and some artists get by on just their delivery alone. But its sad " Wah, Wah, Wah, bitch I'm lil baby" is more talked about than these kinda songs lol.

I swear this man/Artist really had me on some other shit in highschool. I can really credit him as being top person I looked to for kicksology 101 back then. I’m talkin before $pitta,Wiz(I got the same Griffey’s he had on in This Plane that the year before) Ye, Wayne , Hov , Cudi etc. all the real fresh aka “drippy”niggas around this time. He really helped me diversify my own style and make what I like cool. AND keep heat in the oven ☝🏾. He had the barkleys on in The Clouds too. I had worked hard asf to get the suns pair and the brown ones. Crazy now that I can say those were the good ole days for me 😂
