Another iconic and atypical solo and melody that follows chord changes well. This sure exemplifies why great solo's that aren't simply just pentatonic and or stuffed with too many notes are great. Fewer notes, nice phrasing, slides, mean so much and say alot.

Why use effects when teaching? How does that help your student? Perhaps, it helps YOU? Is this about the student or YOU?

I agree. I don't even plug in my electric when I learn every solo by ear. And that way for my whole life. You can always slap effects on later. But on these videos they're as much of a demo as a lesson. If I played without effects, or my electric unplugged, most people wouldn't even think it was correct.
