This is one of the greatest solos of the 20th Century. You totally opened the box to all the secrets of Frampton's great guitar work. And the best is, he stays well within the basic Minor pentatonic Scale with a little touch of Major bits here and there. The MXR Talk Box is the one on my pedalboard. It's bulletproof. Thanks. There's one part I think he played on different strings that I would do if I recorded it again. It's the part from 9:26 to 9:45. I think he probably played it on the high E and B string instead of on the B and G string. Actually I started on the 4th string 12th fret - I would have started it on the third string 7th fret D. It works out much nicer to see the scales if you use the higher strings and not the middle three strings. So I'm pretty sure when he was improvising he would have went to that area on the neck.

Nailed the Album version perfectly. Unfortunately, Frampton never played the song the same in any of his live versions, which makes this song open season for improvising. Funny how Frampton or Knopfler, or any other great guitarist can't repeat their big hits and the people think it's perfectly OK, but if you do a cover of their song, it HAS to be exact or you get blasted by the couch critics. Like I said, great work! You nailed Peter's guitar solo's. KZbin is the perfect place to post such a feat. The people looking for perfection will find you and commend you on your guitar skills.
