Most singers drop the key of the song to make it easier to sing as they get older. McCartney has never done that and never will. His cords are 70 years old. Let's see how many of today's singers sound when they're 70.

From a musician's standpoint it's amazing that he hasn't dropped the key of the song like everyone else does. Paul is a freak of nature singing that high at his age and sounding like he's still 25 years old. FUCK!

Los que amamos a Paul y a Linda sabemos toda su historia de Amor y sabemos que no ha podido olvidarla. Linda siempre será su gran Amor. Adoro esta canción y yo me emociono más al ver a Paul como se le rompe la voz al principio. Sencillamente Paul es el mejor músico de todos los tiempos. Que Dios lo bendiga!

Mr. Sullivan {1901 - 1974} and Sir Paul will celebrate his 71st birthday this coming June 18th

@MrSquints1 Anyone would struggle with this song. It's a very intricate, dynamic and high pitched vocal. It spans almost 2 octaves.Yeah he doesn't have the same chops he once did and vocal cords get hoarse with age, but he's still singing in the same key as the original when anyone else would have dropped it a full step just to be able to sing it every night. That alone is truly mind blowing. Like I said, he's a freak of nature. : D

I wasn't going to mention it (1st time I've ever said this or anything like it) but after seeing other comments think it's okay. Tight-assed band & one of my all-time Favorite Tunes & Fave Musician/Performer is indeed mortal afterall. Like seeing your childhood hero as they really are/were for 1st time. Agree that emotions may play a part but that voice finally showing that he is, in fact, mortal. Not too shabby for a man who's been doing it for 40+ yrs. & that song is not easy to sing. Rock On!

No that's his voice breaking, unfortunately at an older age you can't reach the same high vocal sounds.
