Good to know how they look at cone 5. I was afraid I wouldn’t get good results unless they were fired to cone 6

I have to say that the peppered plum is actually my favorite! How would the rose quartz look if you put gold around the rim? Or maybe MOP it?!

Why won't you go to cone 6?..love the pepper plum..and the orange glaze..cone 6 makes alot of glazes way better!!!

The clays that I use are made to go to cone 5 so that is why I fire to cone 5. I do tend to get a hot five so in actuality I am firing to cone 5.5 but as you mentioned some glazes really like cone 6 and look best at that temp. Honestly, it's up to each individual to decided what temp/cone works for them and their studio practice.

I have far greater success at cone 6--- Cone 5 just not enough melt and run.
