No controversy about who's starting for the Steelers in the mind of Coach Tomlin. He took Justin as a franchise QR probably starting in 2025 and Russel in 2024. Sitting one year would be a good opportunity for him to learn from Russel playing and game videos of other teams, and his brushing up anticipatory throws with quick release vertically as well as horizontally. What happens if Russel plays very well? It will be welcomed by the Steelers for having a good trade stock for a higher draft in 2025.

Although Justin Fields is more talented than RW3 (in fact, he's more talented than most NFL QBs), he is *_not_* a better quarterback. He needs the intangibles (eg, leadership, command, confidence, etc.). RW3's got those intangibles. Tomlin's got those intangibles, too. So, hopefully JF1 can sit behind Russ; and learn from him.

Yesterday I just watched Dan say he talked to the Brian Kelly and was told they had to simplify the playbook because Jayden was scared of throwing INT’s, that they told him just hit this guy and ignore the other reads. Man, Flacco looked as MVP with Browns last season in those several games. Why? Because rest of the roster was extremly good and Watson played awful. If you have good OL, fantastic RBs and running game, very good recieving core at TEs and WRs positions and fantastic defense which can you give plenty of opportunities to get back at field or keep game alive if offense is struggling, you can be just avg. QB who will look great. Same thing here with Steelers, they have very good roster, they were 10-7 with Pickett, Rudolph, Trubitsky and awful OC, if Russ or Justin be just avg. and not turning the ball, they will be fine. They can be playoff team without problem and for more some things needs to happen and some luck needs to be involved.
